Hi Everyone, I hope you all are doing fine. I wanted to know what are you guys doing to make sure get enough protein everyday? Also,do anyone know where I can find a list of fill doctors for Florida? I will be ready for a fill at the end of Feb. Would appreciate any help. Thanks!

HI JAN 15TH BANDSTERS, I JUST WANTED TO LET EVERYONE KNOW HOW IM DOING. SURGERY WENT WELL. DIDN'T HAVE MUCH PAIN,TO BE HONEST. IM STILL SORE,BUT I KNOW IT COULD BE WORST. STILL HAVING TROUBLE FINDING A COMFORTABLE POSITION TO sleep IN. MY CLASSES STARTED ON THE 20TH,SO I HAVE THE TASK OF JUGGLING SCHOOL AND MAKING SURE I FOLLOW THE PLAN AS WELL. SO FAR SO GOOD. AT LEAST IM GETTING ALOT OF WALKING IN AND PLUS,THE 30 MIN I DO EVERYDAY. TAKING IT SLOW. I WANT TO BE AS FIT AS POSSIBLE,BUT I DONT WANT TO RUSH THINGS,EITHER. I WILL UPDATE AGAIN SOON. I totally agree with you. I was on a pre-op diet for 2 weeeks and i would be out and felt i needed to eat something,but i needed to wait to get home. Thats where my protein shakes are............and i didnt go grab something. I waited to get home....... Thats a big deal............... Well,tommorrow is the day and i wishing you all the very best. Its getting closer and closer to Jan 15th and I haven't worked up the nerve to tell my parents that I'm having the surgery. I just can't. I'm really trying to avoid anything negative before that day comes. My first time having surgery and I'm nervous as hell,but excited at the same time. My best friend tells me all the time, that it doesn't matter what anybody else may think about me having it done. at the end of the day, all that matters is me being happy with myself. So.I've made the decision to tell them after I get it done and hopefully,they will not feel betrayed. All my life,I let other people make important decisons for me,not anymore. I'm standing up for myself and what I need to do to make me happy. I had to vent because I was feeling bad,but my secret is my choice to share........

I'm still shocked that i will actually be banded on Jan 15th. It still feel like a dream and that I will wake up soon. So many years I've prayed for this day and had let down after let down. Never thought it would happen. Then,I realized that blessings come when God think your ready and not when YOU feel your ready. It was meant for me to have the surgery now. I will appreciate it more and understand its a blessing from God. I also,had some angels on earth that God worked through to make this happen. My best friend and my little sister. I'm so grateful to have them in my life. They always have my back no matter what. When i asked for help,they didnt hesitiate........ This is a new beginning for me. I've been trapped for years by my weight. It held me back from doing many things. NOMORE! I'm going to live life to the fullest and apprecaite all blessings big and small:biggrin:

i live in florida and because of my weight,i would cover as much as my body a possible. even in the extreme heat,i know a few people would look at me and think im crazy. now,that my surgery is scheduled for jan 15th. i would love to wear shorts,short sleeve tops,actually wear a cute bathing suit to the beach, and wear some really cute tight fitting dresses. its all going to happen........... i believed and God made it happen......... happpy holidays everybody,lili:smile:

hi, im new to the group,but Ive gotten a lot of important information. i love that you guys are so honest and don't sugarcoat anything. my surgery is scheduled for Jan 15th. im excited,but nervous at the same time. god willing,everything will turn out ok. ill will start my pre-op diet on DEC 28th. my doctor have me on shakes and low carb/high Protein diet. i know it will be hard,but im willing to do anything to make sure that i get through the surgery fine. i know you will be fine the day of your surgery,put all faith in god........ happy holidays to all,lili:smile:

I feel where you are coming from,keeping it quiet for now. Only certain people will know. Sometimes people,even people who care about you ,have a way of making you feel bad about your decision. My best friend will be right by my side and later after the surgery,I will decide who shall know. That's the main reason I joined this site since I'm not really telling many people,I need to interact with others in the same boat as me,who will get where I'm coming from. Lili

Hi, I'm new to the site and I'm loving it so far! So much info. Talked with my coordinator and my surgery date tentatively set for December 12 with Dr, Juan Lopez Covala. I'm excited and scared at the same time. It's a big step,but I know I made the right decision. Looking forward to the future and meeting great people on this site. Lili
