So I went for my last weight in Friday 2/27. Spoke with Surgeons Nurse today they said everything is complete on our ends so they will work on submitting insurance approval by Wednesday at the latest and he told me if all well then I should plan on sometime Early April for Surgery. I am so excited. I will let yall know how approval goes..

Yeah...:thumbup: I am so excited to finally be going for my Last appointment for 6 mos required diet..2/27/09 20lbs weight loss is what I did in 6mos.. It really did go by faster then expected.. I just wanted to share that info with all you... I will keep everyone posted when I submit paperwork for approval this Monday 3/2:smile::tt2: fingers crossed everyone Can't want to be on the Band wagon..

Sorry I did not say that I thought with my name said it all.lol but I am getting the Lap band sometime late march through insurance and usually if you are self pay you don't require anything except what the pre-op requirements through your surgeon office requires. Take care

Hi Jennifer~ I am going thourgh 6mos insurance required diet and I agree with Restless Monkey that you should follow what insurance states. It varies case by case depending on insurance. But I know for me that in all my total visits with my registered Dietician that I am seeing would be 7 visits. The first appt is billed and coded usually as a intial consult and then after that one my "true 6month MSWL" visits started. I am on month 5 only one more month... YEAH I am so excited :tongue2: goes by fast. Good Luck

Hi GoneFishin, I work for Virginia Mason Medical Center.. Very wonderful Bariatric Department and Team from what I have seen so Far. I am also having having my LapBand Surgery Late February, I completing 6mos diet..Almost Completed 4th month appt and then only two more left... Went so fast... :wink: Take Care

Hi All~ My Name is Shantell. I live in Washington State, 24yrs old. Work Full Time, Mommy Full time. I have been lurking on this Site for about 5months... Decided to finally Join. I think this website is great :wub: I am currently in the approval Process required by Insurance to get the Lap Band surgery. Right now I am on month three of six. Medically Supervised Weight Loss aka MSWL. So only three months longer and no other requirements are needed except the obvious pre-op stuff. I enjoy a variety of different activities and Hobbies. Fun, Loud, Outgoing... and so excited to be here. I look forward to Chatting and getting to know you all on here. :wub:
