I had a great experience with the laoband and it was the best investment I have ever made. I reached my original goal in about 10 months even after having an unfill for a hysterectomy 9 months after. I continued to lose 20 additional pounds and found life again. I had been unable to walk hardly at all due to my spinal condition and severe worn down knees needing replacement. I was in constant pain and headed for a wheelchair. I am now active once again and my pain is minimal. I did regain about 15 pounds but I am planning to lose it once again. I had extended abdomnioplasty with some problems resulting in additional surgery and had my lapband unfilled for 3 1/2 months. I still am unable to have it filled but a litle at a time with a month healing in between. I did not really gain more than a couple pounds following the unfill. I love my lapband.
