Headed over to San Fransico today with family. Should be fun!! Qdoba make me sick all night. I guess I am not use to all the white rice and sour cream I had yesterday.......... I don't know but my stomach felt it all night. I am not used to that many carbs anymore............not doing that again. I haven't been there since surgery 14 weeks ago. Weird cause I was going to Qdoba a few times a week before surgery with no problems. Now I can't really handle their food, tortilla or not............... Anyone else get sick when they vary and eat alot of carbs?? Hmmm...................I sorta like my new way of eating this is crazy!! I am used to not eating all the stuff anymore and my stomach rebelled. Luckily no throwling up or PB'ing but enough to make me not want to touch food right now. Even water sounds like a bad idea right now............ This is like lap band dumping or something!!! Is there such a thing?

did you tell Dr.Baggs you knew all of us??? We are his fan club!!! Much to his dismay I still think it is funny he walked in the side Door and still got embarrassed!!

Yea amazing we do have three people on deck!! That went fast. My band seems to be loosening up a bit. Today I was starved. Still did the protien shake and yogurt this morning to break the band in. But for lunch I had a burrito and Qdoba without the tortilla and get this I ate it all. Ok yes it did take me from 1-5 to eat it. I would eat a bit wait awhile take a few more bites..........well ok I admit it I cheated my band today!! But since that was my dinner and lunch I figured I needed to get something in and keep in down today. So two good days in a row now. I am learning how do this............eat really slow and chew everything at least twenty times. Or else PB. And I can't socialize and eat I get stuck. I have to eat by myself right now it works better. I was asked out to eat tonight and said no......just not worth it I knew I would get struck! ok not that I am eating again and not just protien shakes I should start losing again. 3 pounds since last week...........

Hey Maria Yea I like Dr. Baggs alot too!! I am glad that I got him for my doctor. He is really funny too!! I don't know if you got to see that side of him. But aftercare is great with him he is very down to earth and can take a bit of teasing and joking around!! Wow only 13 pounds. What did you weigh to start out? I also had to lose 12 pounds and I started at 254pd. Ladies doesn't it seem like Dr. Baggs is bit more reasonable on weight loss?? He seems to have lower weight requirements.

Ah Candra that is funny!! And I have a 14 year old I am dealing with . Sounds like my house my daugther would pull the same stuff......... I have three big trash bags of clothes now. I don't know if Nicole would want to bring them all. Maybe I can save a bag for Heather too?? ALmost off work. On ER calls today and getting them in like crazy the last part of the day!! Gotta run...........

Ah I am banded and I have those several times a week vanilla skinny latte tall 90 calories.....................love them!! I had to stop the hot chocolate though............. Geez ladies I am working hotline today and can't leave the office so I can be by the phone but NOW I WANT starbucks!! Too bad none of you live close to me!! LOL Heather/Tamra clothing ladies I have to get it out of my place. 18/20's and few 22s!!

i am always afraid to take meds cause I can't remember what works...........LOL. MOM!! I accidently took 2x what Liz said. OMG I had the runs that lasted until an hour before surgery!! Seriously I thought I did it right until a couple days after surgery when I re read the instructions..............Oh well I lost 6 pounds in a week because of that!! LOL. Nite all!!

YEp know the binder Candra. I had two wrong and she wanted to know where in the binder the right answer was. She really reads through all that and might ask you to comment on things or quiz you a bit. But not bad at all her. Actually Liz and I visited alot and talked alot about my job and CPS in general while I was there. We had a good talk about child welfare and than about quitting caffiene and soda...............I really like her and was comfortable with her. She was really nice to me and we hit it off!! I like Liz alot she is only rough around the edges but she was always really cool with me. BUt yep know the binder and I even underlined in yellow important things in the binder and make notes and she liked all that!! Yea Candra!!!

Yea my work today was crazy. No one could concentrate because everyone is so worried about layoffs. Lots of my very good friends will be laid off for sure................I am still in the maybe stage. Candra I like to snack at night too but I can't now. I will throw up. So my mind still wants to snack and it sounds great but I get stuck and that hurts like hell!! So it is sorta a mixed bag for me right now. Good but frustrating some days.

Not sorry I got the band. I think I am at my sweet spot or maybe just a little past. I don't want an unfill. But I learned today I have to eat very slow. I ate my whole salad and it took my 1/2 hour but it stayed down. Yogurt stayed down. I am stressed so I think if I can relax it would be perfect. But today has gone better. Yesterday was a hard day and yep after I get stuck I want nothing to do with food for several hours. Like that day at the resterant once that happens I am so done with food for a few hours. Even if I was starved before. I still think some of the food makes it to your stomach..........but geez yesterday I almost gave away my band by having so many problems at lunch. Today I didn't go out to eat with my co workers.............until I learn how to do this I want to eat alone!! My co workers were horrified I only took two bites and was done.......they kept saying way to stressed!! LOL. I didn't want to tell them but I almost had to..........

Hey Chris I am right there with you. My apetite is next to nothing right now. I am not hungry and I get stuck easy. I just am so NOT into food right now.............like I have to remind myself to eat cause it is such so hard to get it down.

ok headed into work again............. so I think it is a 50/50 chance I get laid off but the county w won't talk about it until the day before they lay people off. I guess they are worried that that work force will fall apart if they warn people to early. Like people will take sick time not come into work ect..............happened with probation I guess so they want to prevent that. Riley yea I think stress is a problem with the band. I don't feel that stressed surprizingly. Maybe I will later. If I come to Richmond I will ask for next Friday cause it is my 9/80 :-) I am trying to stick it out but I also need to eat......right now I am not getting in alot. Water for sure so I am good but the protiens not so much. Living on yogurt and protien shakes and soup. I have to transition back to real food here soon................way under 1000 calories the last few days. Not hungry at all but PB'd to much yesterday trying to eat good stuff............finally gave up and went with the protien shake. But not losing cause I am not eating enough....... So I am gonna email Dr. Baggs and see what he thinks.......I hate to get an unfill cause it wan't quite enough before................OMG though I don't want a fill on the 20th unless I am down alot................don't want to be tighter than this.........this is the max I want to deal with!!

Dr . Baggs is great. STraight forward but he is really great. Ask lots of questions he is up to date on all the lastest research ect. I always think about things on the way home. Will be nice to have your goal weight.

yes somehow the weight falls off quickly!! I don't remember it being that hard. It went faster than I thought. I guess it really depends on the person. Dr. Baggs did check my stomach to. Had me do a few sit ups so he could feel the muscles and than announced..............lose 12 pounds and we can do it. I was already 10 down I tried to bargain him down and he laughed.................. But he was totally not pushy just told me with my history and heath I could do either.........I wanted him to decide for me but he wouldn't just gave me pros and cons. Said to think about it.............not pressure either way for me. I still wonder what he prefers.........

I was told I am a middle man............exactly in the middle of the seniority list. But I will probably go back to court investigations unit where I cam from...............CPS writing court reports and investigating abuse...........more like police work side of Social work.........interviewing witnesses......going before the judge.........getting back in business attire!!! LOL. Maybe weighing less it won't be so hot and uncomfortable this time around...........

I am in 16's ladies not a 12!! Give me all your clothes that are to big!!! Thanks to Candra I realize I am not an 18 anymore and got rid of the 18's........... Work. I don't know yet. September 10, 2009 is when the county will go back and look a at the budget. Yea there will be layoffs about 200 and they are closing our foster home licensing and adoptions. Also adult protective services.....those people have seniority and can bump out out of our jobs in addition to 200 jobs lost. But that is about what I knew yesterday......... I am n. 121 out of 240 masters level social workers so 120 workers would have to be laid off before me at masters level. Than there is another list of 240 workers who are batchelors level and I guess they go back and forth between the two list.............so I have no idea!!!

Oh I am not so sure that sounds like an exciting show!! I might do better getting caught up with work!! LOL. Well only got down 1/2 of cup of yogurt today. Just can't get to much in at one time which is the point of the band no?? LOL. Certainly not hungry though......

Oh I missed that show!! I wish I would have seen it. I have been working evenings to make up from being out sick last week!! Didn't get in until 8pm the last couple os nights............ Hey Donna I see you called. I went to bed early for once!! LOL. Trying to get all my sleep in for weight loss!! LOL. Yea California has issues. I don't know how things will turn out but I know probation is taking a huge hit to so they won't be supervising all the people that get out of jail. Probation took a hard hit in February and we are being told no supervision by a person more like the released inmates will be watched by a computer system type thing. But than you cut the Sheriffs patrol...........I just don't know how this will work out. I guess we wait and see..............I think the criminally minded are gonna go a little crazy with all their freedom. I hope not but geez...........this is sorta looking like a bad situation all around!! I hear Texas is a good place to live!!

Hey ladies off to work. I know it will be crazy down there today. I am sure we will hear something today about all the cuts. We were told layoffs in September and December and possibly even next July again. The September cuts will be the worst is what I hear.....................my guess is that they will have a meeting today and give us timelines. Band is tight this morning again. But I am still at 210 after three days of under 1000. I just don't think I do well at that level. Gonna try to have an up day and get more in today!!

Thanks all I plan to take to the union tomorrow and see exactly what number I am on the layoff list. They have a list floating around that tells us which number we are.........as long as I am not 1-200. In regards to child investigations money. It all falls under CPS funding...............all the same pot. Sliming. I hate to say it but I am glad I am not the only one anymore. Riley and I have been dealing with it since June. I just have no more wiggle room to mess up anymore. Before I could play around a bit depending on the food. Now it is pretty much all foods that are a problem ...............I am sorta forcing myself to eat and drink enough cause I am not worried about food at this point. Sorta a side issues right now cause I don't feel like I have time to eat slow all the time!!! Geez I realize how fast I eat...............way to fast. Learning to slow down.
