Hi I'm going to orientation on Sunday 12/14/08 as well. Was your BMI ever 40 because I heard that Kaiser will not even consider the surgery if it's not. Maybe 35 BMI or higher with co-morb I believe, it's all so confusing to me. Does anyone know what weight they start at for you to start losing weight?

Hi, my name is Christine and I just got my Kaiser Fremont orientation appt so I have a lot of questions also. In the packet it says that getting this orientation is NOT an immediate approval but just a ticket to futher evaluation.

I'm excited too! Have you heard that Fremont Kaiser doesn't like to do the lapband? Are you considering the bypass if they say no? My bmi is 40 also and I've lost six pounds and I want to get to 140 also!!--we're on the same track!:cursing:

Hello all! I just went on my Kaiser website and logged in and saw that there was an appointment for me scheduled there for Fremont Bariatric orientation. I kept staring at the appointment like it wasn't real because I've been waiting four months and battling the process every step. It's true you have to be very pushy and keep calling or else you get forgotton about. I'm just wondering if this means that I am definetly in for the surgery or if I still have to wait for approval. Hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving dinner!!:thumbup:
