  1. Try Fashion Bug. They have a wide variety of bras and they come in larger sizes. Pretty reasonably priced too.
  2. Is that where your port is? I get a pain in the same place but it usually happens if I eat too much.
  3. I would think that they would be required to keep your records for a certain amount of time. (More than a year). Did you see your doctor while on Jenny Craig? Did he know you were doing it? If so, it should be in his records. If you have receipts from them they could serve as proof to your insurance company.
  4. Use the one from your home town in the US.
  5. I Its completely your choice whether or not to get a fill but just because you decide against it doesn't mean you shouldn't go to a post op appointment. After care is important.
  6. This soon after surgery I think you should just stick with whine!
  7. No reason not to drink coffee but I would use artificial sweetener.
  8. Everything you're feeling is perfectly normal. We always tend to fear, or at least be apprehensive, of the unknown. You did all of your homework and made the decision that was right for you. Relax. You'll be fine! Before you know it, you'll be saying good bye to those pants (and all of his friends) and on your way to a much happier and healthier life...and a much better wardrobe!
  9. Of course, we all know that if it's on the internet it must be true! The medical website this was taken from is mamas health .com. (It must be a very reputable site considering it has an annual potential advertising revenue of $5,750! LOL!) I think the key to this is The stomach is about 12 inches (30.5 cm) long and is 6 inches. (15.2 cm) wide at its widest point. Yes, everybody's stomach is about the same size. But then again, there isn't much difference in the size of bands either. There are just under 5cc's in a teaspoon. A 14cc band holds 4/5 of a teaspoon more than a 10cc band holds. 4/5 of a teaspoon equals 80 DROPS!
  10. I'm so happy for you Dave! Congrats! The Hell with Disney World! Onderland is the happiest place on Earth!
  11. Amber, I was the same way. I would open my eyes in the morning and my first thought was, "What am I going to eat today?" I would be thinking about the next meal before I finished eating the last one. That goes away rather quickly once you start to see the number on the scale going down. 3 years later it's very rare that I feel physical hunger. When I do, it takes very little food to satisfy it.
  12. A bear is a gay or bi-sexual man who is masculine!
  13. Crackers are a slider food. If you want something crunchy try raw veggies.
  14. Absolutely go! I never would have made it through the post surgery gas pains without good old Dr. Steve! If you are still healing from surgery don't have your lower back or hips adjusted. Just have him do your neck and mid-back. After you are fully healed lower back adjustments will be fine.
  15. If you were a newbie, I would say, "don't get any fill before your vacation." But you're not a newbie. You've been living with your band for almost 2 years and, by now, are fully aware of life with it. If you think you can go on vacation so full that you may not be able to eat much if anything...I say GO FOR IT and get 1cc. I know that if I went on vacation overly tight, I would be fine. I know how to deal with it. I'm sure you do too.
  16. My doctor doesn't talk in cups or ounces. He says make wise food choices, take a good vitamin and stop eating when you feel satisfied. He has never told me how much too eat!
  17. STEELERS? NO NO NO.......GO LIONS!
  18. Have your doctors office send the paper work through and see if you get approved. Just because the insurance requires a six month diet that doesn't mean it has to be now. You just have to be able to prove that you have done it at some time in the past.
  19. Thank-you, Shirley. September 17 is always a very difficult day for me...but I got through it!
  20. You learned a valuable lesson. We can all come in here and tell about it happening but until you experience it for yourself you have no idea!
  21. That would be up to your doctor. You need to be able to eat enough to give the baby what s/he needs.
