  1. I have a number of professional suits from Talbots that are Size 20 that I am willing to give away to a lapbander in need of this size (temporarily of course ) If you are in need of these very nice suits please contact me and we can work out the details. Bonytoni
  2. I would love to go, please provide detail. I would prefer to stay in NYC.
  3. Dear tywladawnYou story is amazing and I am sorry that you feel so miserable. What you describe was my greatest fear when I was making this decision and the only thing I kept telling myself was that at least I could take it out if it was that bad. Have you considered that? Best of luck to you and I hope that you feel better soon. I will be looking for your future posts. bonytoni

Hi, I had terrible left shoulder pain which was worse than the incisions. I had it for two weeks and then it went away. I moved a lot, cleaned a house, worked a fundraiser and it helped a lot. Good luck
  5. Hi double check that sugar count I thought it was off my list
  6. So true, not to die but to life right? It could be a slow death too. Just like any other addict I think. Get to the edge and have to make a change or else. Best to you and so glad to her about your progress. I am a newbie
  7. Mental anguish...I held an icecream cone for my daughter's friend while she went into a store for 8 minutes. I believe that I was playing head games with it :mad2: I WON
  8. I love it too. I wanna sleep without snoring, wear a necklace without an extender, run up a flight of steps easily, and get up from the chair without being numb. Keep up the good work
  9. I met with my dr today and I am in the second week after surgery and they told me 900 calories. I came home and lined up all the food that would equal 900 calories and 60 protein and it was something like. 4 medicine cups (whatever food or soup would go there), one v8 juice, 1 protein shake, 4 sugar free puddings. I thought it was quite a lot. Today I learned that protein is the biggest thing and to focus on getting that first. Good luck
  10. My husband is a wonderful cook and every afternoon he would call and ask me what I want to for dinner pre lap band the phone call used to be do you want chicken parm or steak tonight? This is my 6 days post op and today my husband called and asked me. So what kind of broth do you want tonight and we both laughed for 5 minutes.
  11. Hold on because it gets better. I was banded on Thursday...felt like I was hit by a bus on my left shoulder Friday,Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and today I am almost back to normal. I slept through the night last night, had an excellent attitude today, and didn't complain about the liquid diet. I was back at work on Monday, yuck, Tuesday, yuck, today great. I have a lot of energy and actually looked forward to the chicken broth tonight. So good luck and keep focused on your goals.
  12. Hello all, I am 4 days post op and about 1 hour ago I could actually say I felt good. I have a few questions that I hope I can get some feedback on. 1. I woke up from surgery with pain in my left shoulder. Nurses stated it was gas, the morphine in the hospital didn't kill the pain, today I got a little relief but not that much...I am going to call my surg in the morning for his opinion about it because if is wasn't for this one problem I would feel really good. Any body else with this 2. Not loving the liquid diet but I am doing it. No nausua, no vomiting, but no appetite either. Is the no appetite normal. 3. My energy level and enthusiam is low how long did it last for you 4. I am secretly worried that I will never be able to eat again and when I start I will choke on my first bite. Is that a crazy thought? Other than this I am plugging away. Already back to work and made it through the entire day. Thanks for your input :tongue2:
