  2. Unfortunately I'm gaining weight. I'm one of those people who really needs the band. I've gained 4 lbs in 3 weeks. I'm hoping my hunger will settle down soon.
  3. My hubby and I had surgery one day apart back in 2008 and I remember him saying the same thing about his port tingling. It went away about 10 days post surgery. It wouldn't hurt to call the Dr. though - just in case. The pain started to go away about 10 days post-op as well. Hang in there.
  4. Thanks Mona40, yep we can do it. So far so good. Thanks for the support. You've done so well - it's motivating for me as well.
  5. Thank you friends. I needed to hear words of encouragement. I'm doing OK so far.
  6. This is really hard to do but I would say you would still lose weight if you really don't swallow.
  7. For the first time in two years I have no liquid in my band. Since the beginning I was having difficulty eating ‘real’ food. All I could eat was soft (or slider) foods. And then, in the last 30 days or so, I was having heartburn. So, they took all the liquid out of my band for three months and I’m freaking out that I will gain the 30 lbs. back that I have lost. I need all the support I can get. Can you help me please? Thanks, Jazz
  8. Thanks for the referral to livestrong.com. I signed up. You all are great!
  9. I don't understand the differences by each of the doctors either but I followed my dr.'s orders to the T.
  10. I need a good online calorie counter - anyone know of one?
  11. Sorry to hear about your sister-in-law. Tell her to hang in there - it definately gets better. Give it two weeks and she will be felling much better. Gas will be gone and she'll be good to go.
  12. I recommend premier nutrition Protein from Costco. It only comes in chocolate but it tastes great. 30 grams of protein, 160 calories:rolleyes:
  13. Of course doing what your dr said to do is the best advice but I wouldn't worry that you hurt anything. My dr had me and my husband (both banded a day apart) on a liquid diet for just 3 days. Mushies for another 3 days, then solid food.
  14. My husband and I are being banded on Dec 4-5 and our post op diet is only 3 days of liquids then real food. We don't even need to go on mushies although we will for a few days.
