I didnt experience a lot of restriction until after my 3rd fill last week... Dont get discouraged!

I was banded on 11/12/08. I just had my first fill about 2 days ago. Im already eating small amounts of regular food and nothing has given me trouble yet. I was told that I need to get at least 60 grams of protien in a day. How are you feeling?

hey everyone :wink2: I was banded on 11/12/08. I was talking to a friend today and she mentioned someone else she knew who had lapband - their hair thinned out for about 6 months. In my reading before surgery this did not seem like a common thing. Has anyone else lost a large amount of hair post op? I dont want that to happen!

I am two weeks away from surgery and am also very curious about this same thing...

I just got my surgery date and would love to keep in touch if anyone has the same date - 11/12/08 (or anyone no matter what the surgery date!) Im very nervous about the pre op diet that I am starting on Wednesday. I am already anxious because I feel like I will miss the food :biggrin: Kristen

I dont have an official date yet but should have surgery sometime at the very end of October or early November. I was just told to follow an atkins diet with two shakes and a high protien/low carb meal per day until surgery. Does that sound right to everyone else?

My doctor is John Gonzales - any feedback on him?

I havent got an exact date yet but my surgeon said in about two weeks and that was on 10/16 so I should be right around that time. I am on day two of my liver shrinking diet and I am hungry!:tongue_smilie: I am in San Antonio Texas

I just got the insurance approval for my surgery and it should be scheduled for about 2 weeks from now. I'm nervous and excited all at the same time :tongue_smilie: I am on day two of my pre-op diet... good luck to everyone!
