  3. So many fears. Right now biggest fear is getting denied for approval. Then fear of what if this doesn't work or like you said I gain the weight back. However, I feel if anything this tool will give me the best chance if I do as I am supposed.

  5. I don't have my surgery date yet, or insurance approval yet, but I have thought about this for years and after doing my research I would get scared and not proceed with it. I would try different diets, exercises, pills, and the GPl-1. The shots made me very sick, and the other stuff just worked short term and would come back and then some. Finally, after working with my PCP for a year, I decided I can't keep doing this I am not getting younger, I'm 53 and if I'm going to do it, I need to do it now while I can. My grandbabies are young and I want to enjoy them and be able to keep up with them as much as my body will let me. Right now, my body gives out way to soon and yet I don't' want to stop and pay for it for days afterwards. They are my why, I want to get up off the floor with little to no problem, be able to bend over and reach things easily, cross my legs, so may reasons why I decided to do it. But the final push was I finally admitted I have tried everything and nothing really worked. The shots were my last go to and I couldn't take them they made me violently ill. My sister had the sleeve done 8 years ago, but because of my health, the gastric bypass is the best option for me at this time. I have horrid GERD and the sleeve can make that worse and I already have complications from it, so surgeon said bypass for me is the way to go.
  6. Hello, I am so close to getting all my information sent off to the insurance company for approval of gastric bypass. I only have one more dietician appointment to attend August 7, 2026, then the paperwork can be sent to the insurance company for approval. I have thought about this for years and finally took a leap this year to do it. I have tried everything I can know of to lose weight and nothing sticks. I feel this tool will help me a lot. Anyway, June I had my consultation and everything went quick all the doctor appointments, test, and stuff was done by end of June. July, I had one dietician appointment and my PCP appointment. Now everything is at a crawl waiting for this one last appointment with my dietician. Then the insurance can take up to 30days to approve the surgery. I am trying to focus on protein and fiber right now and swimming is my favorite exercise, easier on my joints. Anyway, just wanted to say hi see if others are close but time is going by so slow.
