  1. Yep, that was me. No food or drink past midnight and my procedure was at 2:15PM the next day. The worst part for me was not having my coffee in the morning. A little sip of Water isn't going to hurt... they give you that when they give you pre-op medicine. You'll wake up really thirsty. I was allowed to have ice chips until the next day when I had my upper GI to check for leaks. Good luck!
  2. Me too! I was banded on 9/29 and I still feel pulling and burning pain when I bend down! It gets worse by the end of the day. My dr says it is worse for me because I had two hernia repairs and the band. I'm seeing my surgeon next week to be sure and get a fill!
  3. I was on optifast for 4wks as a preop diet and it was NOT covered. I had to have 6 meal replacements a day, each ranging from $3-$3.25. It cost about $17/day for 4 weeks or about $110/wk! Fortunately, you could be on a payment plan to spread out payments over time, but still cost a bundle!
  4. I was banded on the 29th of Sept and I could have written your post! Just yesterday, I had a crying jag asking myself why I did this and felt overwhelmed and scared. Today, I am better, but I feel like the goodyear blimp. I have enough gas to solve the gas crisis... I'm hoping it will get better too!
  5. Hi, I'm new here, too! I was banded 6 days ago and am still recovering, but doing well. I'm so glad I found this forum and am looking forward to being on more often!
