  1. Hello everyone! Just had a question about a stuck episode I had this morning. I knew better, but I was eating a sausage biscuit on the drive to work this morning. After 3 bites, it got stuck. :redface:OMG, it hurt. :ihih: When it came back up, there was quite a bit of blood with it. Is this normal? I feel fine now, except I know I'm swollen. I can just barely get water down, so I'm drinking warm coffee that seems to be soothing. Has anyone else experienced this? I have only been banded since April 8th, so I'm still fairly new at this.:unsure:Thanks in advance for any input and advice. Donna:smile:
  2. I'm right there with you. I had my surgery April 8th. Like you, I lost 10 lbs the first week. When I went for my first fill, I only showed a 8.8lb loss since surgery(that was almost 5 weeks out). I go for my 2nd fill next week also, and I weigh 1 lb more this morning than I did at my first fill. I can pretty much eat anything also, and rarely feel full. I hope and pray that everyone is right and that with each fill, things will get easier with more restriction. I worry too that this is just another failure.................in a very long string of failures. I'm trying to keep thinking possitive though, so you try to do the same. Just know you aren't alone. there are others out there, in the same boat! Donna:confused:
  3. I know how you feel Shawn. I got my approval and surgery date is 4/09/09. Yeah!:tt2:
  4. Congratulations, Shawn. I know how you feel. I just got my date today, too. April 9.......the same day!!!!! yeah!!!!!!!!!
  5. I've always loved Felix........Plus, he makes me happy! Doesn't he look jolly?
  6. Thanks a lot! glad to be here!
  7. Sherri, Thanks for the quick response. I am so glad to finally hear from someone who had Dr. Benavides for their surgery. He is the one I chose at my first consult. I have a while to wait, so I have plenty of time to do lots of research. Thanks so much for your kind offer to answer questions. Let me know how your appointment goes for your fill. I will be interested to know your results. Thanks again, Donna
  8. Hi everyone! I am new here from Texas. I went for my evaluation at True Results in Dallas on 9/25. I have to do the 6 month supervised diet, so I won't be banded until next year. I am trying to get as much information as possible before then. I am curious about the band at surgery. I have read different posts about the band being empty at the time of surgery and then I have read that some are actually filled at time of surgery. Is this a decision made by the surgeon on a individual basis, or am I just misunderstanding the posts I have read? I know it is something that I will eventually need to discuss with my Dr., but I am just curious as to other's experiences. This has been a really informative site so far. Really good information to know before surgery, so one can be really prepared and know what to expect, bad or good.
