  1. I am so excited! I don't know if anyone has heard of or use essential oils, but we use them here. Anyway. ..I've been using them on my belly for pain, and I was surprisingly not so impressed. I swear by these oils for alot of things, but the ones I was using weren't cutting it. Well, I did some research and read about one that is supposed to help with scar tissue. I happened to have it so I started using it Wednesday night. Also applied it a few times Thursday and yesterday. I was walking around at work yesterday and it dawned on me my right side sharp, burning pain was literally gone. I'm in such a better mood now!!! Being in constant pain is not fun! Lol! I was even able to finally get up at 5:30 with the dogs this morning Nd let them out and feed them for the first time in 3 weeks! (I couldn't bend over to hook their leashes up) so my honey finally got to sleep in. And I went back to bed and read for about an hour or so and then fell back asleep until 9:45!! Holy sleep!! Felt great!!
  2. You're doing awesome!!! :-)
  3. Love this!!!!!
  4. Yay!! Sounds delicious!! I bought some tiny little tupperware bowls that are about 1 cup. Love them! I'm enjoying a 1 egg omelet with the genepro unflavored protein ( i also love this stuff! Much better than the Unjur.y unflavored!) I also added a sprinkled of freshly shredded cheese. ( I don't use the packaged shredded anymore, after I read that they add a sawdust type material to it. Ick!) Mmmmm. So good!
  5. My scalloped potato and ham was amazing! It sat well, except I think I ate it a little too fast. I knew I was pushing it, trying to finish before I had to go pick up my son from school. I was uncomfortable for about 15 mins, then alright. I'm eating some Yoplait 100 Greek yogurt. I hope my belly agrees with it because it tastes amazing! (apple pie flavor)
  6. @Beni--I had that happen a few days after I was home from the hospital. My family was having Chinese takeout. OMG, It smelled amazing. I think I've mentioned this before--but I had to go upstairs to my bedroom until they were done and it was all cleaned up and put away!
  7. I made the family scalloped potatoes and ham the other night. Do you think that would be hard on my pouch if I pureed it?
  8. Yes, I've had the same thing happen. I try and always mix either G-2 Gatorade or apple juice with my water. It goes down much better. So odd! I mentioned it to the PA at my check up Monday and she hadn't heard of it. Weird.
  9. I am sitting here tearing up over this. I can't tell you how crazy proud I am of you that you did not let that very stressful, mind consuming situation mess up your eating!!! THAT'S WHAT THIS LIFESTYLE CHANGE IS ALL ABOUT! Finding new ways to cope with stress besides food!!! I wish I could bear hug you right now!!!! With that being said--so sorry you're even having to deal with that! Ugh...I would definitely be the type to obsess about that as well! I hope I can handle a situation like that as well as you did!!
  10. I eat a lot of potatoes. I don't have any problems with them. I usually add a tiny bit of broth to them. (or I had some squash soup that I added a tiny bit of it to them) I guess what I had was just some boiled potatoes, and then I puree them. Hopefully you'll do alright with them! Did you use the unsweetened applesauce? I have some, but haven't tried any yet. I was going to add a little cinnamon to it.
  11. Well, evidently my belly doesn't like sugar free pudding either. I didn't dump, but it's going right through me. (Not in a bad painful way, just annoying)
  12. Welcome!!! You're doing great--you've lost a lot of weight! How was your recovery? Are you having any challenges?
  13. Is it like when you try and take a deep breath, everything hurts? That's normal. But if you're short of breath, I don't think that's normal. You want to keep working on the deep breathing the best you can though so you don't get pneumonia. I'm 2 1/2 weeks out and I can deep breath with no pain now.
  14. Yumm! So you can have crackers? I'm so jealous! Lol! Just mushies/pureed for me for another 2 1/2 weeks. :-)
  15. Wow! 4 hours if shopping! Impressive girl! Ooops! I've done that with my drink too, usually in the morning. Doesn't take me long to remember. I seem to be more uncomfortable that way in the morning. Like stuff is swollen in there. Maybe it's just sleeping. :-) Take it easy friend!
  16. Ahhhh, that makes sense. You definitely don't want to go back too soon! My work is much more low key! :-) if it weren't for this right side pain, I probably could have gone back to work earlier!
  17. I hope everything is ok Layknee! You'll be off another 5 weeks? I've done 2 half days this week and it's hard. But my customers are so happy I'm back! :-) if there's anything we can do, just let us know. You're in my thoughts!
  18. Oh! That would be perfect! My mom manages a pharmacy. I'll have her check tomorrow to see if she could order it. Thanks!!
  19. Same here. I cried so much those first several days. It'll pass though, hang in there!
  20. Oh my gosh girl! ! I wish we were near you to come and hug you! ! You are not a failure at all!! You were thinking of your child when you did this to be healthier! The chances of this happening are so small, I am just so so sorry it happened to you! !! You are in my thoughts and prayers!
  21. I have the hydrocodone but my goodness, it is so strong and stays in my system for too long! Makes me loopy!
  22. Can't have ibuprofen with the RNY. :-(
  23. I went to work today for 4 hours. Oh my goodness, I was in so much pain by the time I left. I rested for a few houra, then went for a nice long walk (holding my belly most of the way). We walked to my parents house and then my mommy drove me home. I couldn't have walked back. Having more sharp pains tonight, (rather than a deep ache) but it's still right at that incision site. Called the Dr.s office today to see if there was a liquid tylenol they could prescribe. ( a friend told me she had gotten some a few years ago) they said they can't get it anymore. She suggested just cutting my pills. I hate swallowing pills. Oh well.
  24. Back in 2010 when I had lost 85 pounds (with lap band) I was at 175. I went to Vegas with my best friends and I had a swimsuit from Lands End. It was a tankini top and a short skirt bottom. The top had rushing (how the heck do you spell that?) So it was very flattering. I LOVED how I felt in it!! Oh. The top had underwire in it too so it held up the saggy girls! I cannot wait until I can get into it again!! It was a regular size 16 I think.
  25. I had about 1/2 cup of cream of wheat (made with 1 1/2Tbs mix and 1/2 cup milk) for breakfast today. Guess milk isn't going to sit very well. Really nauseated right now. Ugh. And of course I'm at work this morning. Should have just stuck to my egg! I had also made a coffee drink this morning. It was a pumpkin latte. Made with milk and real pumpkin mixed unto the coffee. Ewww, I took one sip and that was it. Sounded much better than it tasted!
