  1. Oh goodness, I've never had that feeling before. Nausea, yes. But usually if I've eaten too much or too fast. I always weigh naked too! I've lost 30 as well, but I had two weeks liquid diet before surgery. That's awesome you got approved and scheduled for surgery so quickly! I hope you can get through the nausea soon so you can eat something!
  2. I will have to try both of these ideas. I just feel like I'm holding my belly a lot, especially at work. A little support there would help a lot. Thanks gals!
  3. Ouch! That's expensive! When I had the lapband back in 2008, my gall bladder was removed in 2009. Some surgeons just remove the gall bladder during their RNY surgery in anticipation of it going bad. How long would you have to be on this med?
  4. Oh, we did start out the same! I lost 15 with my 2 week pre-op diet, so the other 15 since surgery. Last 3 days I've stayed the same. I need to start really working out! But I just physically can't do much yet. I can't wait until we're totally pain free!!
  5. What kind of foods are you trying? It's normal to be lactose intolerant. But they say wait a few weeks and try again and it might be fine. My Dr. told me to treat my new stomach like a newborns tummy. Eat really mild. Did you have to do the pureed stage? That's what I'm on. I did grill some tilapia tonight. OMG, it was SO good!! I just chewed, chewed, chewed and it went down just fine! I also had pureed cauliflower and taters. Mmmm.
  6. Girl! You're doing amazing!! 27 pounds in a month is amazing! I think back to how I've struggled and struggled for the last 3 years to lose anything, only to have the scale keep creeping up. I am ecstatic about my 30 pounds. I know it'll slow down some now that I'm eating more solid foods, but I would have previously been happy for30 pounds in a year. So I'll take this!
  7. I use Young Livings, Lemongrass for it. I hate the smell of it, but it sure seems to be helping.
  8. No, they sure don't get it sometimes! I just wish he understood I am not meaning to hold out on him. You're probably right,he's feeling a little sorry and resentful. Isn't it crazy how easy they seem to lose weight? Mine has been losing weight and he's not even trying! He only weighs about 160! I told him to stop losing or I'll NEVER catch up to him! LOL. So you've been complimenting him and you get nothing back? Grrrrr, not cool. Yep, chins up until the next time!
  9. Oh Tacycakes, I am so sorry! I can't imagine how stressful that must be. I don't know how you do it! My need for touch and affection is HUGE. Give me a lot of affection and I'm a sure thing. I'm glad you are going to see your surgeon tomorrow! I think that really needs to be checked out. Doesn't sound normal. Please let us know what happens.
  10. I don't mind him knowing what I weight I guess. But it'd be nice to get a compliment about it, rather than just asking what the number is all the time.
  11. @Luna222--That's what I was thinking too! It's going to be awkward! Guess we'll see, LOL! We'll see if he apologizes, I'm kind of doubting it, but I would be pleasantly surprised if he does. So glad you are feeling better!!! Whew!! I've been looking at getting ideas for getting more Protein without the powder as well. I'm so sick of it! I've been having an egg for breakfast, but I'm kind of sick of that too, LOL. I was mixing my protein mix with it, but I don't like the texture of it with the powder in there. I am very thankful I'm done with the liquid diet, but I'm ready for some different foods! I like the smoothie idea! I'm up for suggestions for lunch and dinner ideas too!
  12. How are you feeling today?? I would have thought an enema would have cleaned you out? Are you sure that's what the pain is from? You poor thing. I was going pretty much every time I ate anything--it was very loose. But then I didn't go for 2 days. I didn't feel pain or constipated, but I just wanted to go more...ya know--to keep things cleaned out. (I've had constipation problems for a long time and had found something that worked amazing--but I can't take it now after surgery--they're horse pills, LOL) So anyway--I was getting a little worried I was going to be constipated again, but luckily this morning I went twice and I feel SO Much better. I love that your boyfriend commented about you looking great!! Mine just asks me what the scale says every day. I'm really missing (and ready) sex too. But he's not really speaking to me right now, so I guess I'll have to wait. *sigh*
  13. I can't walk 3 miles either..... I really want to! Sunday I probably walked a good 2 miles though. But I wasn't able to at all yesterday. Hopefully tonight I can go to the wellness center where I work out. It's FREEZING outside! I tried a belly binder thing, but it irritated that one incision. I should try it again though. Maybe now that I've "popped" it'll be better.
  14. Oh--I feel a little silly now. I was giving all the credit for my pain being gone (mostly) on that one incision to my essential oils that helps break down scar tissue. BUT......last Thursday evening I turned around in my bedroom quickly, felt a big POP--and then screamed (because it hurt!) then I cried like a baby for a while. I still had some pain that evening, but it was Friday morning when I realized the pain was practically gone. So that's what happened!! LOL--I do have to say, the hardness around that incision has softened a lot, so I'll give my oils a little credit.
  15. Kim I had that same burning, stinging pain around one of my incisions up until last Friday. And that was about 18 days post up. At my 2 week check up they did a CT scan to be sure nothing was going on inside. There was just ALOT of swelling. I was BEYOND frustrated thinking it was never going to go away. But it did. I still once in a while have that pulling/ burning pain. But it's when I yell (at the dogs or kids, LOL) or just use my tummy muscles too much. So it will get better! :-) And if you still have staples, I'm sure that's still causing some pain I would think. It is frustrating, I know. I was mean, ornery and emotional because I had that pain all the time. It really messes with a person's head! :-( Hang in there!!!
  16. Think I can puree tatertot casserole??? LOL--that's what my family is having and nothing else is sounding good at all. speaking of doing the wild thing....my man and I got into a big old argument, about a few things---but of course sex got thrown in my face.(or shoud I say the lack of...) I have seriously not been physically able to. That doesn't mean I haven't had plenty of urges, but there's just no way. My belly pain has been so horrid, on that right side. THEN, I got my period. So now that's done, and I'm finally feeling like maybe physically I could do something. But my gosh--he said some mean things today and there's just no way my mind is in the right place to be able to be intimate. I'm so sad. :-(
  17. Whoohoo!!! Awesome job!!! I can't wait for toasted bread!!
  18. I have measured twice since Oct 1st. I've lost over 20 inches! But I measure about 10 different places, so it's kind of spread out. :-)
  19. @TinaC--I think salmon would be flakey enough you could chew it to pureed state. I'm having leftover baked, skinless chicken breasts, (pureed) and cooked cauliflower (pureed with a little butter added) It's very yummy!!
  20. Holy Buckets! That's awesome girl!!!! You need to post some pics!! :-) Gives me some great motivation!! Whoohoo!!!
  21. Thanks friends! Just went for my longest walk since surgery. Whew!! I am pooped! Better buck up, going to church tonight.
  22. Thank you!!!
  23. Tina--Yes, I was afraid it was too high in fat. But nope, it was delicious!! I'm having the last of it right now. :-)
  24. I am out of the 240's... I am out of the 230's.... I am out of the 220's..... I feel good! I even vacuumed today! And cleaned my bathroom! (I usually do this a couple times a week so I've been going nuts not being able to!) Planning on a walk next, although the wind is howling out there, so can't say I'm looking forward to being outside!
