  1. Yes. Banded in April of '06 and lost about 25 pounds initially, but then I did not start to drop the weight until Nov. of '06 when I reached my sweet spot. Since then it has been a steady loss of 4-5 lbs a month. I have lost a total of 66 pounds. I would like to drop another 50 pounds and feel that is possible by this time next year.
  2. Good Luck! :clap2: We are having surgery the same day! :clap2: I am scheduled for 7:30 a.m on Wednesday 4/19! I wish you the best and look forward to seeing your post- band posts! Jen V.
  3. I haven't had the surgery yet, (scheduled for next week, 4/19!:clap2: ) but noticed that a lot of responses list protien shakes as a meal replacement. What are some of the best shakes and where do you get them???? Also, it is good to see that a lot of you eat really normal foods, just not a lot!! Thanks, Jen V.
  4. Wow, what a story. Way cool! You are an inspiration to everyone! I hope & pray that next year this time I will be writing a post like yours. I am scheduled to be banded on 4/19/06.:nervous Thank you for sharing your inspiring story! :clap2: Jen V.
  5. Hi! I am a 20W now, pre-op, but would love to be a small size 12, that meaning I could wear a 12 in ANYTHING! I am 5'9" so I am not really fat at that size. At least that is what I remember from 10 years ago when I last saw a 12! :omg: Guess I will be on my way soon, surgery scheduled for 4/19/06!:biggrin1: Jen V.
  6. Thanks for the informaiton! I am thinking of putting in for a few more days, just to have the option, if needed!
  7. Thanks for the information Susan! I figured everyone is different, and also teaching is a lot more physical than sitting behind a desk all day! I have also heard that the gas pains can last up to 3 weeks. I am not looking forward to that! Thanks again! Jennamoose
  8. Hi, SIzes are soooo confusing. I am 5'9/260 and wear a size 18W.:straight When I was 185 (many, many years ago) I wore a size 12 or 14. So I guess it all depends on your height and build. All of the replies sure support that theory!
  9. Hi, Just wondering how much time to expect to take off of work after Lap-Band Surgery. I work a desk job and was planning on being back to work 5 days post surgery. :faint: Is this realistic? I would appreciate any sage advise and personal stories I can get from all of the Banded members! I am scheduled for 4/19/06. Yippie!:nervous Thanks, Jennamoose
