Sorry to hear all that, I had my surgery a week ago today. I had terrible scarring, surgery took 2 hours and was done laproscopic. Plus he had to repair my ruptured hernia at the same time at no extra charge :cursing:. Dr. Groves is wonderful and I'm glad that he cared enough to take the time and removed the scarring and repaired the hernia and made me a new diaphragm and put the band in, I feel like a new person. I'm able to breathe better and walk more and no more swollen ankles and the rest will drop off in time......9 pounds gone so far..........Good luck to you and I hope your next time in will the worth all the pain you've had so far. Dr. John Groves done mine a week ago for 15,500.00 So far, its been worth every penny. He also had to repair my hernia at no additional charge. My surgery was done late that evening and I went home next morning 10:00 a.m. Wonderful doctors and they also accept carecredit....who could afford that without it?? Ya'll knew I just had to say Roll Tide now, don't ya? Ha! I was banded last week on the 23rd. I'm still very nervous and very sore. I had a hernia repair along with the band, so I had a bit more done. The surgery went great!, better then the hernia surgery I had in '06. I'm not sure what to expect with discomfort and as far as feeling the band, I havent yet. I just want to lose this weight and get back to living. I have 3 wonderful kids, 2 in college and 1 in high school, A wonderful husband that I adore and a pasture full of horses that I havent been able to ride and hope by spring, I will be able to hit the trails!!
