Sounds feasible and interesting, but how do you make meat yourself? If you mean eating meat prepared at home versus a restaurant, that's one thing, but I would bet virtually ALL meat that we buy at the store also has hormones and antibiotics in it.

It should happen gradually, Emma. My first fill, I was STARVING -- like, hungrier than I was before the fill. The second was better, as was the third, and I just had my fourth last week. With each fill, it gets a bit better until they find your sweet spot.

Nothing to thank me for. You did the right thing. I know it's hard, especially when you feel like you can work out but are told you can't -- and when the scale hasn't moved. However, you know that if you harm yourself by getting back to it too soon, you could lay yourself up much longer, and that isn't a good thing. :crying: I have to remind myself all the time how this is a journey, not a race. If you do the right things, the right things will happen. Don't lose sight of that and where you came from. :rolleyes2:

Heartfire, just some unsolicited advice: If you are still supposed to be taking it easy, then take it easy. The scale ain't goin' nowhere, and this journey will pick up where you left off when you are feeling better. You will do yourself a better service if you rest and get well than if you go for that walk and potentially slow down your progress.

Yeah, I meant them. Do you really think they get it? I dunno, I think they don't. I think THEY truly think this is a right-wing issue organized by FOX. I've heard that a lot. This was a grass-roots effort by everyday citizens who wore no political affiliation on their sleeve. I saw black, white, brown, yellow... all sorts of people there. People are in a stranglehold by their government, which is taking more liberties than the Constitution allows them to have -- for the very same reason they fled the tyrrany in Europe. This policy is NOT sustainable in any way, shape, or form. We had some great speakers at ours, one of whom had lived in the USSR for a time when they played the inflation game, printing money like the US is. A month's wages very quickly got to the point where they wouldn't stretch the week, and then a day. This woman said hundreds of people a day were plunging from buildings to their deaths because they had been wiped out. She and her family literally walked past bodies on the streets on their way to church. She said this happened in a matter of months due to the same types of things that our government is now doing. The one thing you can say about people in general and government specifically -- they NEVER learn from past failures.

These assholes really don't get it, do they? This was FAR from right-wing! There were MANY democrats at our protest! This is a CITIZEN protest, not a right/left one! Otherwise what they're saying is that the RIGHT are the ones paying taxes, while the LEFT are the mooches sponging off the system. Which we know isn't exactly true.

I can only hope to get to that point. That stuff still sounds good to me; I still have to use self control. :sneaky:

The thing that worries me for Mike is, since he follows his dad like a puppy, will he also be collateral damage once they get home and Ron goes back to his old way of living? Will Mike be able to break free of daddy, or will he follow him back up the scales? I hope it's the former and not the latter, but until he sees his dad the way the rest of us do, I'm afraid his dad will lead him down the path of failure.

That may have held him back in the past, but let's hope his family's success will propel him forward. His feelings are not uncommon. How many of us, upon seeing somebody we know or care about after major weight loss, didn't feel a tinge of jealousy/upset/self-assessment? I know I have. And this kid's only 17, so even moreso. I HOPE Mike can help the kid once he goes home, because I belive Ron will continue to be the slovenly bum he's shown himself to be all through the show and go back to being 400+ pounds.

That makes EXCELLENT sense. He will be the first one to gain it all back once home. I'll bet the farm on that. The guy's not really serious about this, yet he wants to dictate who "doesn't deserve" to be there.

I was AT the DC Tea Party today, and I can assure those on the left that many of their compatriots were there. They made SURE people and the news knew that they were democrats who were disgusted with all the spending insanity. Once it hits 51%, we're f*cked. All these losers will make sure to vote in other losers who will guarantee them somebody else's money. Already happening. Anybody drink? Smoke? The great thing is that the show provided her with physical therapy care, and at the end of the show she said she has continued to lose weight. So overall, I think it worked out for the best for her.

Yeah, I agreed when I read your post saying that yesterday. I certainly don't know much about our inner workings, but when I had my gall bladder attack some years back and was throwing up so badly, I am sure it went to bile, and it wasn't brown. She's been quiet all day. I hope it means she got some help. She worries me.

And this is different from your normal responses how...?

Yeah, I just saw your post to her over there. I'm worried because I don't believe bile goes brown. That tells me it's something else (though obviously I'm not a doctor).
