  1. But that's a contradiction in and of itself. I guess what we consider well-run differs.
  2. Bingo. I was gonna say the same thing.
  3. Yeah, and just think -- by the sound of things, you will be able to use my boobies like handlebars because they'll be flying behind me.
  4. I think I would say, "Hmm, I thought the rumor was that when guys lose a lot of weight, their penis 'grows' an extra inch or two. Guess that's not guaranteed, huh?" :smile2: Hit 'em where it counts. lol
  5. Yep, me too! Heck, I'd probably do it in the street, I'd be so happy.
  6. Well, the interview I had today, they think they won't make a decision until the end of next week (hopefully she said that right) anyway, though I said I would be available on Tuesday July 7. That way my vacation with my sister will be over. And I told them the only other hang-up I have is the 2 1/2 days in late July where I have already bought a ticket. And I kept stressing that it was to go see my baby granddaughter. :smile2:
  7. And the liberal way of handling things is to spend us into oblivion and taxing the crap out of us. :smile2:
  8. Do you mean you're 5 and a half feet tall (5'6") or 5 feet, 1/2 inch? Obviously at 110 pounds, there's a huge difference!
  9. THAT I can handle. What I figure will happen is that I will get called about a job before both vacations and I'll have to say, "Um..." lol
  10. She lives in the Sterling Heights area outside Detroit, off 16 Mile.
  11. I'm going to Michigan over the 4th and Houston later in the month.
  12. Yeah, but now I keep booking flights outta town. You watch -- NOW I'll get the job offer of my dreams. One's next week, so that's pretty close, but the other is the third week in July -- a Thursday and Friday (would also have to leave early Wednesday if I was working by then). It's like Murphy's Law -- the jobs will start coming. lol
  13. More like so long as we can only select Democrat (the once-long-ago republicans) or Socialist... sorry, I hadda. :blushing:
  14. Not all do. Mine didn't (BCBS Anthem). However, I think some do in order to weed out some people and to keep from paying if you can't show some ability to follow a diet. I dunno...
  15. Omg, how fantastic!!! I wish God had been smiling down on my old job and gotten rid of the bitch I had. I hope you get the promotion! What a perk that would be!
  16. Oh, Fannie, I'm sorry on both fronts, but especially on the house. I've been there and know how badly that hurts, and THAT was back when they were giving loans to ham sandwiches. I also wonder what the hell people are thinking. I guess for them, they have nothing to lose. If they get it, they get it. If they don't, then meeah, no loss. It's very irritating.
  17. You've got my best wishes! Have a FANTASTIC first day! And it's very spoiling to live so close to work. My prior job was literally a mile from my front door.
  18. That's why I just need bubble wrap. Lots and LOTS of bubble wrap.
  19. I find the sensation/pain very similar, yes, but the walking around with your arms up won't fix it. At least it doesn't for me.
  20. If your doctor won't "allow" you to make the choice as to which surgery to get, I would be changing doctors. I have seen some here whose doctors were really pushing what they wanted to do on the patients, and I truly believe it is because RNY is much more expensive and they get more money for doing the operation. One poor lady here was going to do the RNY and then opted for the band, and her doctor got pissy with her and treated her with disdain after that. That, imo, is VERY wrong. Any good doctor should do no more than give you the pros and cons of all types of surgery and never push for one over the other.
  21. I figure right now I'm safe to learn, what with all the extra padding and all. But while I was on Overstock looking to see if they had any skates, I found this: Hillbilly Large Skating Butt Pads from Overstock.com I thought it was a joke, but it seems not.
  22. Y'know, that would have been fun, wouldn't it? I was afraid for any of us to hold any sort of electronics since we're all new at this. It hadda be fun for the neighbors, though, to see 40- and 50-somethings out there on roller blades like infants learning how to walk.
  23. Okay. Cuz believe it or not, if they really ARE doing something well, I'd love to see it. I just don't at this point, whether it's by choice or otherwise.
  24. Yeah, somehow we got skipped on the cash end. LOL I think if I really researched it, I could qualify for the Daughters of the Republic or some such thing. I would have to prove up some ancestry, but if I chose to do it, I think I would qualify. What I would like to find is how many of my ancestors served in the wars. I certainly found some that served in the Civil War, and that was interesting. It's really amazing what you can find there. Things you would never consider.
  25. I tried rollerblading with ColoradoChick and her hubby tonight. My first time. It was hilarious! Skates don't fit me, so now I'm stuck. I bought them YEARS ago and never used them; so I don't know if they ever did fit and don't now because my feet have shrunk, or if I accidentally bought men's rollerblades in the first place.
