  1. Is cranberry juice as bad as say apple or other sweet juices? Not that I like it that much, but was just wondering.
  2. And the sad thing is, I really love what I do. Don't get paid crap for all the work I do -- it's government work, after all -- but still... I just hate this. I hate how they don't lift people up who show some gumption, take some initiative, and try to better themselves for their department. It's not even really the economy. Technically we could live on what hubby makes -- not cuz he makes so much but because our debt is only utilities and our mortgage, thank God. I have been keeping my eyes open, but I'd like to stay in what I do, not only because I like it, but because they at least offer a pension (for now). It's just so aggravating, especially when the golden-haired child is being spoon-fed and pampered like the boss' child. :huh2:
  3. PJTV(ent): I'm beginning to really hate my higher-up bosses. I take the initiative on my own (and PAY for it myself) to get certified in my field, and they treat like I spat on their children's graves. Why? Because it showed up the golden-haired child that they wanted to take my immediate boss's job when she retires in a couple weeks (and obviously she got the job). So today I get an e-mail from somebody in the Education Department much higher up the chain, and she wants to write an article on me for a quarterly magazine that is put out by an organization I belong to and which helps sponsor the certificate program I took because I was the first on in VA to complete this course! I show it to the higher-up bosses, and one says, "Oh, that's nice," like I showed her some popsicle stick house I just made, and the other argues with me that I wasn't the first to finish the course, just the first to finish the non-credit bearing certificate course. WTF?? Had it been the golden haired child, they'd have gotten a 10-piece band to run up and down the halls at work, singing her praises. :huh2:
  4. 'COURSE you are!! Don't say that! :frown:
  5. And you can just say back, "Us separating was the best thing that ever happened to me. And you are seeing the result of my happiness."
  6. EXACTLY! I've seen stupid little things packaged like that: scissors, small inexpensive hand tools, toys... it's insane! You about slice a finger off just trying to get into the damn thing and ruin your scissors trying to cut it. About takes a freakin' blow torch to get in.
  7. HELLO!! What the hell is that all about? I don't find any reason why anything has to be packaged like that! LOL
  8. Truer words were never spoken. :smile2:
  9. I'm with you on that too. Thank GOD I didn't read the Dr. Spock book I was given all those years ago when kiddo was born. The guy was a nut who helped create the mess we have now with kids.
  10. The computer, huh? :smile2:
  11. Carnie Wilson? Did she do it on video? I was wondering the same thing.
  12. Yeah, that's what hubby says too... and my co-workers... and the mailman... and the paperboy... and the guy at the meat counter... and the veterinarian... and the Starbucks people... and my folks... and the blacktop pavers... and the Redskins... A girl just can't get a break. No matter how I wrote it, it sounded dirty. So I figured I'd just go with it. So how 'bout it??
  13. 1. Hehe, it doesn't happen often, I can promise you. And you and I sound like two peas in a pod. I started talking young and never stopped. :tongue2: 2. Yeah, I've gotten that from a couple women so far. Sorry...
  14. Heck, and here I thought taking the easy way was having a gazillion dollars and having a private chef making healthy, weight-conscious meals for you. No matter what, there is STILL adherance on our parts to MAKE the band work. Either she doesn't realize that or she doesn't care, but either way, we who are going through it know it's not the easy way. It just happened to be the last way for all of us, the final choice for many.
  15. OOOoooh, me too, me too!!! Do it to me too?!
  16. There's a few I haven't seen: RSG and a couple others (remember their avatars better than their names).
  17. Me too! Though it comes across as an epileptic chicken on crack. Sooooo... still wanna walk the dogs? Ewww, ice is fallin' from the sky. Nasty.
  18. Dat's our maaaan!
  19. I agree, Apples. Hell, look at how she touted her liquid-only diet for months on end which is not safe either. Then the second the show was over, ate it all back up again. I can see her saying hey, WLS is not for me, but who am I to judge, rather than vocally admonishing it or people who have it. Somebody mentioned something earlier (tongue in cheek, I'm sure) about her being sued for dissing WLS. Heck, she was sued for saying something negative about the beef industry. That's how Dr. Phil being thrust on America was born.
  20. PJTP: I get my first fill on 12/29. WOOT!
  21. I'm glad YOU said it cuz I hit "quote" so damn fast I think I pulled something.
  22. Let the lovefest begin! :tongue2:
  23. Gotcha. *licks tip of pencil and puts it to paper* Luluc, NOT into brow licking.
  24. Donna and Kat -- YOU GO, GIRLS!!!!!!! Wow!
  25. I missed you terribly. I was so upset I was stunned into silence. I can't say anything about these other wimmin, though. I hear they are into Plain cuz he can lick his own eyebrows... :crying:
