Afternoon everyone, I'm a newbie whose date for banding is 10/30 with Dr Ortiz. I can tell you I'm really looking forward to my new life with my new tool in this fight. I've read a lot of everyone's posts and am glad that I found this forum with so many people who are experiencing the same things...nerves, doubt, elation.

KYGirl31, You and I are both with Dr Ortiz, so we both now have someone that we know of going to be there together. Is anyone going with you? My husband will be with me so neither you nor I will be completely alone....you know...adoption through the "band" When do you fly into San Diego? Maybe we can meet at the airport.

KYGirl31, I'm too headed to TJ for banding on 10/30. Flying in on 10/29 for all the pre-op stuff. Of course I think we all are a little afraid, but I'm more afraid of continuing to live the "large" life. We all have made a courageous decision to take control of more sections of our life and that's one of the greatest things that we can do. How are you doing on the lbs coming off. I have 18 to take off and so far I'm losing and I agree...dieting is HARD.:tongue:
