me 2 im stuck!!!! lol stress all the way!! im 2 years post op

looking for anyone in edmonton, or surrounding are who has been banded and would like to form a local support group to help eachother out!!

Been Baned almost 2 years now, it is tough in the beginning but you will get through it, i started at 324 pounds and am down to 208, ive lost 116 pounds, i know what its like not having anyone who knows what ur going through so if ya have any questions or just wanna chat, let me, know!!

Really need some help with meal planning i have no idea and i wasent given much info from the doctor about it ive been banded a year and a half and lost about 90 pounds, but i seam to be stuck any idea on helping with meal plans? i work up in camp for 2 weeks so i cant just go out and buy what i need , i kinda have to make do with what is here, Thanks In Advance!!

i waited almost 12 weeks before my first feill because my swelling was too bad, dont worry you will get your fill and keep up the great work

well i realizated a few things its been way to long since i came on here i need to come on here more i need support i cant do this alone i am week sometimes i am strong most of the time everybody makes mistakes losing the weight wont make me happy with myself i need to deal with my issues i need to talk to someone who has been through this i need to stoping comparing myself to others i can do this any number lost on the scale is a success i have friends that arnt supporting me and i dont deserve it i still love to dance and i miss doing it it takes time to overcome the habits i have made in the last 23 years if i slip and eat something bad, i need to stop feeling guilty and just deal with it dont let falling off the wagon deter me from getting back on everybody makes mistakes i want to love myself and be proud of what i have done

Thanks for the suggestions, im not sure how many calories im taking in i see the dietican we talk about food choices but not about how much calories are in each food, im not sure about that point.Thanks and congrats on your weight loss as well

Hi guys was llokign for some tips and ideas maybe tell me what i can do.. I have lost 50 pounds so far but in the last 3 to 4 weeks ive stopped losing completly actully gained a few pounds, i switched jobs before that i work night shift walking about 7 out of the 12 hours a night, all the meals are cooked i dont eat horribly anymore, i also run 2 miles a day on the tredmill i know that dosent seam like much but at 280 pounds its hard for me but i push through it, i just dont understand, before i dident eat very well and dident really excersize and i was losing weight.... i thought hey i can do this ramp it up s i switched jobs started seing a diettician and started going to the gym and now im not losing weight..... im so confused please help me.

Hi Everyone, i was banded on the 18th of may, i get my first fill june 16th getting excited that everything is finnaly on its way since the 18th i have lost 10 pounds, cant wait to get closer and closer to my goal..

well i asked him i said you knew i was going in for surgery , but you never asked why, and he said does it matter? i said to me it does im was going under, getting operated on and you dident seam to care, and he said well maybe this isint working then.. and he left

well i took your advice and told him, i wasent playing games, just wasent ready to tell was affradi how he would respond, i guess i was right... he left

I just have a question for some people, okay so,,, some of my family know about my surgery and that i was banded the ones i know who would support me i told, the ones who think that its laziness that i dident loose the weight myself.The others i wont tell tell i know that i can deal with their negativity. The only problem is my bf, we have ben dating for just ver 4 months, i would have told him, if maybe he asked what i was going for, but he never did until today 5 days after surgery. He was away at work while i had my surgery he was supportive, but when he txt me today and asked me what i went for surgery for i couldent answer, i havent yet, i dont know what to say, im affraid of what he will say, what i keep running over in my head is why did he never ask what i was going for???

re...smilinginside...where did you get your band put in? Where are you having your fills? I had my surgery dne at the royal alex in edmonton, i dont have my first fill until june 16th

I i was wondering if anyone else had this problem, i have a severe stabing pain, in my chest specifically when i breathe in or move from side to side.. any ideas what this may be? i was banded on may 18th

yea was banded on tuesday nothing yet so much pressure it hurts...today is sun, ive tried prodium but still nothing yet gonna try the milk of magnesia

Hi i ws banded on tusday the 18th, in my pamphlet from the hospital it said if you have not had a bowel movemnet within 3 days to contact your doctor did anyone else have this problem. i was given a medication to contradict the constapation but nothing yet..

Hi i am 22 years old and have started my journey with looking into the LAP-BAND® i have been to the doctor and the dietican and now am awaiting my app on the 17 of march to hopefully get a surgery date i am looking for some support and help as i have non here

well after looking into LAP-BAND® for 2 years i have finnaly made the decision to go ahead, i met with the doctor he referd me to see a diatician first i have been seeing her for two months and am headed back to see him on march 17th hopefully to move foward..
