I am on 7 days clear liquid. Trying to get into a routine of sipping every 15 minutes or so. Even eating a popsicle makes me feel like I need to belch. Started 5 minutes on the treadmill and hopefully can do 5 minutes more before bed. I wish when they did discharge they handed you a mug that states on it how much to drink and when. I don’t remember most of what was said after surgery and my husband assumed I was paying attention when in truth I don’t even remember most of the day?

Surgery done on the 22nd and home recovering. No bumps yet. How are my fellow surgery buddies doing?

Awesome!! I will be right behind you on Thursday. I will be doing Lovenox injections also. First week post op is clear liquids and second week is full liquid diet. Hope you continue to recover fabulously!

My son went to college at Lee’s Mcrae which is in Banner Elk. I have an appointment with my therapist tomorrow. We are brave women and will conquer!

2 days until surgery! So excited and petrified! Anyone else that has that first postop week under your belts, what was the easiest clear liquid item to eat or drink? I want to stock up. Any words of advice?

I had to do 4 weeks also. My live saver was asking if I could have any cucumbers or celery. They said yes. I needed something to crunch and chew on!! I found out most dill pickles are under 5 calories so I allow 2 a day of those and eat lots of sugar free jello and sugar free popsicles. Wishing you the best. I have surgery in two days!

I am so sorry about your mom having to worry however I love the idea that you and sis are going through this together!

This looks so painful! I would bet the Lovenox injections are a leading factor in this. Hope your taking care of yourself!

Hoping to have my procedure by the end of this month. My doctor had me start the preop diet on January 1st. which has been very challenging as other than clear liquids I get to pick out 6 very low calorie diet items. Most of the items are pretty horrible, hoping they give me my date soon so I can see a finish line for the unappealing choices.
