  1. Cool....will check these out as I love me some mexican too! Lol! I do have some pinto beans to make refried beans and ground turkey and low fat mozarella. Thanks again! Thank you Shanna....I realize I won't be able to eat much of it, just right now still on this liquid diet and all I can think of is my PR food! I am looking at other healthy recipes too. I'm hoping that cauliflower rice will be a good subsitute. Not a big bread eater but I do like to have a toasted bread with butter and an egg for breakfast at times.Mini zero carb tortilla....never heard of that one? I suppose I'll find things as I go on my new journey! ?

  4. I spent my birthday and Thanksgiving on a liquid diet too. Thanksgiving was probably harder because I stayed in the house and thought about all my family gathering together and enjoying our traditional Thanksgiving meal.
  5. So am wondering if I will ever be able to eat rice again? I'm Puerto Rican and rice is a staple in my household since childhood. I know everyone is different. Am wondering what experiences people have had with rice?
  6. I used to have "sulfuric" burps (rotten egg smell) and it's from my gall bladder and/or gerd....so hopefully it's something like that. Please let us know what you find out. Pray all goes well!
  7. So sorry to hear that. I understand that marketplace healthcare cuz mines changed Dec 1st, that's why I had them do my surgery Nov 27th so we wouldn't have that issue. Pray everything works out for you!
  8. So, what was the first thing you ate when you were able?? Thank you! It's not that I'm hungry...it's just that I'm tired of drinking these shakes and broths. I keep on reading all this stuff like being able to eat eggs after 2 weeks liquid like a cheese omelet....and so I start anticipating it. Or i read about eating oatmeal....anything but this protein shakes! And maybe if i can make like a protein smoothie myself....I don't know....it's just hard. Appreciate you responses.
  9. So, what was the first thing you ate when you were able??
  10. Congratulations! It's encouraging to hear that cuz I'm one week in and I am getting so discouraged.
  11. Thanks everyone. Guess I'm just venting....I only thought of peanut butter because of the protein. I usually have 2 30gram premier protein shakes a day and one cup of chicken broth. Try to get in more fluids but it's very hard to get some 64 fluid ounces in daily. I haven't had any complications so far, thank God....pain is diminishing.....do my daily walks up and down the hallways. Just tired of the monotony. I have doctor's appointment this Friday, maybe she'll let me move on to at least some scrambled eggs.
  12. I wish I could start eating some type of solids even if it's eggs or peanut butter. Why can't we eat bread??
  13. Hello....am a week into my gastric bypass surgery and am so tired of these protein shakes. Sometimes I feel like just not drinking any at all. Can I eat peanut butter instead??
