Christianity does not exclude anyone. As a matter of fact, we encourage all to come to Christ. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. NO man comes to the Father but through me." This is why christians feel that their faith is the only way. If you don't believe what Jesus said, then you call God a liar, For Jesus is God. The one and only real difference between christianity and all religions out there is that in Christianity God finds man and offers him a FREE gift of eternal life in heaven with God. In every other religion there is, man trys to work at finding eternal life in heaven with God. In other words, it is by their good deeds. This is what separates us from the religions of the world.

I agee. And all my adult children work full time, pay a fair room and board, contribute to the household chores and help each other out. They pay for their own cars and ins. and phone bills, etc., Or they are in college. We tell them that they are welcome to live here as long as they like if we see that they are bettering themselves educationally or repaying their student loans and saving money for their future or contributing to the family and working.

I don't think that todays politicians will ever have a conscience. But I do feel that regular people do care about each other.

Even if the government were not involved, things would be the same. Statistics show that even with sex ed taught in school we have more teen pregnancies than ever, and the rates continue to go up, not down.

I don't feel this way. Many people know God. Our founders fought for us to gain religious freedom from the Roman Catholic church who wanted to be top dog. They wanted to be free to worship and follow the God of the bible their own way. The SAME God, just not the same people in rule.

That wouldn't surprise me. She probably couldn't wait to get away from you. Maybe you called her too many names while you were raising her. In my house, we love each other and want to stay together. We help each other out in every way, even financially if needed. We support each others desires for education or any goals they choose.

The religious right only wants to do what's right in God's eyes. If humans would be obedient to what God has planned and obey his laws, we wouldn't have these problems. I, for one, feel that gov. should stay out of parents lives. Parents should teach their own children about sex ed and hand out the condoms if they feel it is needed. When a pregnancy comes about in their child's life, it is the parents problem, not the governments. Whether it works or not is up to each family to uphold. The gov. needs to stick to providing ONLY the things that individuals can't for themselves, like police and military and firemen and emergency help. There is way too much gov, intrusion as it is. I am opposed to gov. medical coverage for all in this country. I feel each person should obtain their own ins., as well as retirement plan. When the gov puts their hands into everything the people do, we lose free enterprise and control and freedoms and rights and more and more of our paychecks, cause nothing they do is free.

Depending on who is in office at the White House, we may just go back and forth on the issue of abortion because it seems to be one of the big topics that the parties go back and forth on. I feel that the government should not fund abortions with tax payer money. Even if they deem it is your 'right' to have an abortion. Obama wants to fund family planning, which can include abortions. You have a 'right' to privacy in this country, but noone expects the government to pay for your window shades.

Why don't you go back and read her insults to me before you take my post out of context. I was only trying to defend myself after she tells me I am not a good parent because my 18, 19, 21, and 22 year old live at home with me.She knows nothing about my kids or my family, but she constantly bouts off insults.

I'm so proud of you.:scared2: When was that 15 or 20 years ago? I worked as a CNA 20 years ago and made $240.00 a week. That's exactly what I paid each month for rent, AND the rent included heat and electricity. Today A CNA makes $320.00 a week and the rents around here are $7-800 a month with nothing included. Times have changed or haven't you noticed. You can't expect young adults like mine to get out of the home right after high school and do it on their own anymore like I did when I was 18. It's just not possible for most. So, get with the times. Kids staying at home while attending college is a good idea, because school loans for housing eat up their income after they graduate and get their own homes. It's not a matter of parents being an enabler or not doing their 'jobs' adequately. It's a matter of 'family'. That's what good, loving, healthy families do for each other.

So, we were talking about giving a houseful of kids love and attention. What's the difference how old they are? 10 five year olds or 10 kids of differing ages.
