Obamanomics: Bad for the economy...
A Quotable quote by Craig Cantoni, Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons........"Like the investment returns promised by Bernard Madoff, the promised benefits of universal health care will not be realized by latter participants, due to unfavorable demographics and bleak economic realities. Over time, it is a virtual certainty that taxes for the program will soar, medical care will be rationed, physician compensation and thus physician quality will be reduced, euthanasia will be encouraged under the guise of compassion, and medical facilities will become as shabby as state motor vehicle bureaus." How True!!!

Obamanomics: Bad for the economy...
This time? I never set a time before. I would never think to set a date or time. Only God knows when he will send his son again. It could be in my lifetime, or in 1000 years or more. All I know is one should be ready for his coming at any time. Because your own time could be up tomorrow if you get hit by a bus.

All life is eternal. One who suffers here on earth, will live forever in heaven and will be grateful at that time for his experience on earth. For all suffering of any kind will end when they are there.

Obamanomics: Bad for the economy...
Did you know that before Jesus returns for the second time to this earth to take it back from the hands of government and to rule and reign as King, that the people will be run by a one world leader and all of the currency would be global currency? Before this could happen, Israel needed to form as a nation once again. People never thought that would ever happen, but it did in 1948. Now there is talk in the UN of a global currency. The christians are excited because we can see that the wheels are turning towards a one world government, and thought that could never happen. Now we see it could be very possible in the near future. It's not that we christians want this kind of thing to be, it's just that these things are predicted to happen before He returns, so when we see them happening in our time, we know his return is near. So, even if we don't like it, these things need to happen, and will happen, if the bible is to be true. There will be a one world leader that the people will be swayed by who claims he will be able to 'fix' everything and that person will set up an economic system. (who that is, I don't know) No one will be able to buy or sell anything without some sort of mark on his hand or his forehead. (this mark is unknown, but it may be a chip that is inserted as your ID and debit card)

Even if you don't believe in God, you are still going to be held accountable. Just because you don't believe he exists, doesn't mean he doesn't. Even so, it's still not right.

Because the gov. was set up to protect and defend the people who can't do it themselves alone. You are right when you say that God allows free will. He also told us what are acceptable practices and what are not. Just remember that we will all be held accountable for the lives we have destroyed that weren't ours to destroy. With that said, God also tells us that he will forgive anyone who has sinned if they believe in him and ask him to.

Is that what you got out of my story? That I think my son is a prophet? Maybe you should reread it. I believe God used him to tell us something in advance and to show us he is among us. That's about the extent of it. Secondly, are you insinuating that I'm telling people that God hates them because of their sins? Because if you are, you are mistaken in what I believe. God loves everyone, dispite their sins. Yet he hates sin. There is a difference in the believers sin and the unbelievers sin, though. The difference is in how God views the sin of each. When a believer in Christ sins, God doesn't see it, he sees his son Jesus in the believer and he is justified. When an unbeliever in Christ sins, God sees his sin and he is unjustified and condemned. So, to God, ALL sin is wrong, but the difference is HOW he views the sin of the believer and the unbeliever. Thirdly, you are right when you say man is made in God's image. Now, let me answer your question about the lap band with a question. Would God be angry if someone had a pacemaker or open heart surgery or a metal splint put in his leg or an artificial knee cap? I don't think so. Modern medicine and technology is a gift from God. He allows us to use the wisdom he gave us to better ourselves. I had severe diabetes before lap band, and now I am no longer on any medication. I thank God for that.

http://http://www.answersingenesis.org/creation/v25/i1/blob.asp This link is to help prochoicers understand scientifically that the baby is not a blob of tissue, but that researchers in the Australian government have found that differentiation of the embryonic cell begins on the day of conception.

Obamanomics: Bad for the economy...
You are right in a sense. I don't have a problem with our tax money helping those who are in dire straits, but there is far too much waste and greed and abuse of the tax dollar. There needs to be a balance. There needs to be oversight on those who are using the tax dollar. Some accountability. We have far too many programs, and with programs there are more and more gov. employees who get a far above average Joe paycheck that comes with extremely nice benefits, retirement and health ins. It's one thing to help the poor, it's quite another to bilk the hard working U.S. citizen from too much of their money. Here's an example in my own life. I am a landlord. We own 2 multifamily homes. The woman on the 2nd floor collects SS disability and is on a gov. funded program that pays a large portion of her rent. She pays only $80. The rental fee is very reasonable for my area. We got notice with the housing Dept. when the monthly check came yesterday saying that they would not allow any rent increases this year, and that even those who receive rent payments will be reduced. I don't understand why she can't get a job and support herself. I see her walking around town, smoking, playing with her dog. She's been living here about 5 years, and I've gotten to know her some. She collects SS benefits and gets free medical care from the state and get's free housing, but should she? She even worked part time under the table in her past. Now I'm not saying everybody does that, but alot of people take it if they can get it. Once a friend of mine was wondering if it were better for her to go to work, or accept the medical benefits from the state and the foodstamps. After weighing it up, she decided to stay with the benefits, cause she would only make a little bit more money if she worked. The problem with gov. supporting people who don't work is that they WONT work if they don't have to.

I agree. Gadgetlady seems to me to be a very caring, loving, compassionate and giving person. Maybe the one who wrote needs some of that compassion. Was she talking about herself or other women when she said gadget was making women feel like sh*t with her opinion?

Obamanomics: Bad for the economy...
His method of socialism isn't any different than in other countries and it has failed to bring freedom to the people. When government takes control of enterprise and gets too big and interferes with mans ability to care for themselves and spends the peoples money like it's Water and puts the next generations to come into horrible debt, when politicians make millions and have the best benefits and medical care and no term limits, where is that halping and caring for the common people? That's a move towards dictatorship.

Drunk Driving
I don't believe that driving drunk is a largely accepted social crime. I don't need or want to drink to be social, and I have no sympathy for anyone who gets a DWI. My own adult son got one once and I hoped they would throw the book at him! Don't get me wrong, I love him with all my heart, but how do you correct a wrong behavior? With discipline. Alcohol consumers have no business getting behind a wheel, and that goes for pot smokers as well. Anytime you are impaired mentally or emotionally (like right after the news of the death of a loved one, or a fight or intense argument with someone, after drug use, etc.)you should walk, not drive.

Obamanomics: Bad for the economy...
On another note, and as a christian, I need to say that all of this that is happening in the world was prophesied in the good book. Just the fact of government looking into a one world currency brings us one step closer to the end. Read it for yourself, heh?

Obamanomics: Bad for the economy...
Beth, I must say that I am not a big fan of yours usually, but on this issue I am in TOTAL agreement. I've just read through all of this forum and can't believe that we are on the same page with this. Socialism is a scary thing, and Obama is leading us straight there. Government needs to step back. The american people do not need or desire their help when it comes to our free enterprise. Sometimes there has to be a down time when it comes to the economy. We would pull out of it all on our own. The 1920's - 30's depression was a hard time for alot of people, but we were no where near that and even if we were, what's wrong with a little reflecting on our wrong doings. People in America have put themselves into debt with the swipe of their card and now they are paying for it. But does our Gov. set a good example? No. Obama's spending is out of control. How does anyone expect to right the wrongs of abuse by going deeper into debt. Bush made mistakes, as did other past presidents, but he spent 8 years there compared to Obamas 3 months and all I see is mistake after mistake after mistake with him. I fear for the next 3 years and 9 months to go. The changes he is making are not what the people thought he meant when he campaigned for 'change'. Noone wanted our countries government to take over and rule. The gov. was set up to protect us (military, police, emergency, etc.) Not to tell us what to do , when to do it, where to do it. We are being over taxed, over lawed, and over powered.

Self defense is another thing. I believe that if a womans life is at stake, then that would be the ONLY time an abortion is acceptable. I don't know for sure what God would say about that one. He might say, "trust me." Because to God, your life is eternal and if you died from carrying a baby, you wouldn't really be dying as far as God is concerned, just carrying on with your life elsewhere. So, I'm not sure how he feels about abortion to save the mother.

you can't put a price on someones life, Carrie. Even if it cost millions to care for unwanted babies that would be born, it is worth it. It all boils down to when the life begins in the womb. If it begins at conception, like most prolifers believe, then to abort is murder. If it doesn't, like prochoicers believe, then do what you want with the baby until it actually comes through the canal and breathes its first breath. But, if God is real and his word is true, then in the end, I can only hope that those who advocate for a womans choice pray for his mercy. The only comfort that I get from abortions (if you can call it comfort) is that all babies go to be with the Lord when they die, and are spared having to make the choice in life of believing in Jesus or not in order to make it to heaven. On the other hand, they are gypt out of the experience of life on earth.

Is OctoMom Crazy???
Not THAT much money! If you think Bush spent alot, Obama spent more in his first 2 months than EVERY president from George Washington through George Bush put together. What some might spend on Nadia is but a penny compared to what Obama just spent with the strokes of his pen.

And after they died off ,where did they go? Are people still following them and placing their whole existence and faith in them? No. But Jesus hasn't gone anywhere. The bible speaks of men who claimed to be God, and their time came and went also. But God allowed man to keep Jesus around since the beginning of time. Time is even calculated by his coming.(AD & BC)The bible is the #1 best selling book. Is the whole country duped? Cause stats show that only 9% of Americans don't pray.

Is OctoMom Crazy???
Get a grip on yourself. I was being sarcastic. I can gladly say that I did not vote for him. Just like Obama plans for us to bail out those who were greedy and self centered on wallstreet and in the banking industry, and just like he plans for us to pay for each others health care, and just like he wants each of us to pay for everyone elses needs and wants in this country, so Nadia is doing the same. If youre not complaining about Obama's eratical spending spree, you have no place to complain about hers. He's doing the same thing. Spending money he doesn't have and has no way to repay it, taking from the people and handing it out to those who wont work, This is what socialism is all about. She's just taking advantage of what Obama wants for everyone in this country. A hand out. If you don't like what she is doing, just wait to see what you'll be paying for in the future in this country. TRILLIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ever heard of circumstantial evidence? There is plenty of that. One that comes to mind.....Why would the 12 apostles who witnessed Jesus' life and miracles and death and resurrection give their lives for something that was a lie? They believed Jesus was God come in the flesh for mankind and staked their very own lives on it. Not just one of them, but all of them did. They each died for bringing the gospel to the people at different times and in different ways. Their testimonies of what happened were witnessed by thousands of people. We never saw Abraham Lincoln, but we believe in his writings and what is told about him.
