  1. Congrats! Being Banded you is the best decision I have ever made!
  2. Everyone gets a little panicky and scared. Don't worry, it will all be fine! I had panic attacks in years past, But once I was on the operating table I felt calmer than I ever have before in my life. And Now I know why, Because my band has completely turned my life around.
  3. I take pills, No problems. BC pills are tiny anyway
  4. Congrats and Good Luck! My bmi was almost 44, now 33. The band is Truely amazing! Run with it! And keep us updated on your progress
  5. Congrats on getting a Band so young! Really run with it. I am 19 and banded in September of 2008. I has already changed my life. Good Luck!
  6. I am really surprised with the people encouraging going behind what a Doctor orders. I guess everyone is different, but I paid 16k, and We are given laws to live by for our own healing and weightloss. By following orders to the T I have lost 75 lbs in less than 4 months. I only have 55 lbs left to go. Think long and hard before starting to cheat on your band. Because it can be cheating you out of greater success in the long run.
  7. I know this is a hard one when your hungry, but the truth is, your Doctor knows best. He has a plan for a reason. It is only for your healing.
  8. Wow when I read the topic of the thread I was thinking "I didn't know swingers were THAT open about it".... lol
  9. WooHoo! What a Great NSV! Yoga and Pilates have Def worked in my favor, I feel toner every day! Don't worry about the scale as much, I dedicate alot of success to doing what feels right and only scaling at my Doctor Appointments. I have jumped sizes without jumping many lbs. Size 26 to 16! It is truely amazing!
  10. I have told everyone. I continue to tell everyone, from waiters and waitresses to fitting room workers at department stores. It felt like the right thing for me to do. I am really proud of my band and my progress. In my experience I have never recieved any negative feed back. Most people who know me, knew I couldn't have lost the weight on my own. I was also banded with my Mother, the same day. Very good experience. It was nice to always have her going threw different stages. It is a very personal decision whether to tell or not. I do not think any answer is right or wrong.
  11. Most people are supposed to have 800-1200 Calories a day. It depends on the Doctor. 600 Cals is never enough, people that eat that usually lose alot of hair. It is about being healthy and losing weight. I don't worry about carbs too much either. Just want to make sure I get in 80g Protein. Def switch to all fat free or low fat stuff though.
  12. I usually have about 1000 Calories a day. If I go less I generally stop losing. I usually have 3 1 cup meals a day, No snackies. It works for me, but everyone is different! I love to cook, and I live alone, so it is easy to freeze everything already with portion control applied. I don't consume very many liquid calories. On days I eat very low cal, I will supplement with a Protein shake. Breakfast- 1 egg Over Easy and 2 Slices Turkey Bacon Or 1/2 Cup Cottage cheese and 1/2 Cup Diced Pears Lunch- 3oz lunch meat 1oz Cheese and 1/2 cup of a veggie or fruit Dinner- 3oz of Meat and 1/2 cup of a Veggie
