  2. To be honest Everyone, All I have done is eat right and in small portions. I am young and have always been active, I had so much to lose that it has fallin off. Before surgery I could eat huge meals, 2 appetizers, salad, 32 oz steak, 3 sides, rolls, and a desert. Now a typical meal is 3 oz of steak and a 1/2 cup of steamed veggies. I simply had a portion control problem, and the band was really made for people like that. It has been a blessing in everyway. I don't cheat and eat the slider foods, I just do what I was told by my Doc and Dietician from the beginning. Including pre-op diet that I started on September 4th, 2008-Surgery was September 18th, 2008, I have lost 120lbs, Gone from a size 26 to a size 14.

    First Fill Today

Sooo, I had my first fill today, 1.5 cc in my 10 cc band. It wasn't bad at all, Dr. McEwen got me first stick =]! He also does a numbing shot so you really don't even feel it. The Doctor's Office told me clears for 24 hour, full liquids for another 24 hours, then play it by ear. I feel a little change already, It may just be my mind. I was already feeling restriction I have cut my food intake by like 75%. That kind of got me introuble last week at the dietician. I had been eating so little she made me add in some more stuff. Just making sure I have meat, more calories, more protein. I am sure I was probably starting to go into starvation mode. So between now and my appt 10/11 I gain a few pounds. Still getting less that 1,200 calories, so my body is probably just adusting. I started a silly yoga routine at night. It is off my OnDemand, but it is a 20 minute workout I can handle. Also working to build up more time on my elliptical everynight. Walking 1+ miles a few days a week. Over all I think I am doing everything right. I have lost a good amount. This surgery was sprung on me very fast, I wasn't even thinking about it before my first appt 8/27. Surgery 9/18. When driving back to work after my fill appt I really was thinking about the surgery. I walked in that morning not really understanding the full extent, not seeing this is now the reality of the rest of my life. I remember laying back on the operating table, my heart rate sped up. It sank in at that moment, right before I was out for surgery. Before I could comprehend or think. Just a split second of seeing the rest of my life. Now here I am, and I would never take it back either. I feel great, am losing(besides past week or so), excersizing. I know my goal weight is coming sooner rather than later. I can see and identify my day to day mistakes, and I am curing them all.
  4. Started at 320, Now sitting at 200

  5. Hey shawn, Miss you ! Check out the new pics =] Hope everything going good for you

  6. Thank you for the compliment =]

I really am quite lucky, I don't have any specific diet or excersize. I just try and eat healthy and have portion control. I do swim and walk alot just from my daily life. It is mind of matter, The icecream goes threw the band so nice, doesn't mean I should eat it though! So I haven't. I am a self pay, I honestly believe that has played into the lvl of commitment as well, Didn't want to waste 17k lol =]

  7. I have lost 120lbs, and I think I want to lose another 30 and exceed y original goals, It is completely possible with the Band, and Well worth it, I didn't have to throw my life away to worry about food like many people that have had bypass have had to do
