I the band Sept 7 of 2010, I lost around 80 pounds and I want to have a tummy tuck and brazilian butt lift along with lipo around the hips and inner thighs. But I am 24 and never had any kids. Should I have the tummy tuck performed? I really want a flat stomach....I'm so confused

I seriously need help trying to find an exercise routine! I worn 8-4:30 M, T,W,F,SUN. I'm getting my master's so I have night classes 6-9:30 on Monday and Tuesdays. I have another class 9-4:30 on saturday! When should I exercise? Im having such a hard time pulling away from homework and getting to the gym! Please help!

Hello my fellow September Bandsters! I was banded 9/7/10 and TODAY is my one month BANDIVERSARY!!! I went to meet w/the psych and nutritionist today too! So far i've lost 20 pounds in one month! Im BUMMED cuz my doc WOULDN'T FILL ME! I lost most of the weight during post op liquid diet! What should I do?

OMG I'm addicted to Food Network TOO! Before banding we looked at it alot...I was banded two weeks ago and now I look at Man vs. Food like its PORN! I think about how the food would taste...how much I would LOOOVE to have it live in my belly with its gooey cheezy goodness! I feel like they're training me to be ANOREXIC! I am praying I can stay on track till I get upgraded to mushies!

OMG!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE I AM APPROVED!!! I'll start my story from the beginning so all of you can really understand what I went through. I started my journey last year when I asked my doc about lap band, he told me to go on a diet for 6 months and come back. I did, and of course failed HORRIBLY! Then I got a referral and of course what did I have to have for insurance approval....SIX CONSECUTIVE MONTHS OF A DOC SUPERVISED DIET!!! :thumbup: So I did that religiously, while testing finishing my sleep, psch, and nutrition. When I finished with that. my approval was sent April 27th with a surgery date of JUNE 1ST MY INSURANCE DROPPED ME ON MY 23RD BIRTHDAY WHICH WAS APRIL 30TH! I was devestated that I did all that for NOTHING! Thankfully, I started a new job May 3rd and insurance started from day one...it was Anthem BCBS. After a month of helplessness and despair..MY NEW INSURANCE APPROVED ME TODAY:thumbup:!!!!! MY NEW SURGERY DATE IS SEPT 7TH!!! I just wanted to share this with everyone...so if you're feeling like you're jumping through hoop after hoop, i've been there! I STILL HAVE TO PAY MY OUT OF POCKET PLUS DEDUCTIBLE WHICH EQUALS 3,000...BUT NOTHING IS GONNA STOP ME NOW!!!!!!!!

Who are you tellin! I had my surgery date set and everything for JUNE 1st! I finished all the testing...eval, dietician, sleep study....EVERYTHING. They filed for an approval on APRIL 27TH....found out my insurance dropped me on April 30TH because I was too old to be covered under my parents! Now I have to pay the full amount for the deductible and out-of-pocket PLUS wait till september...sigh

Thanks guys for all the support! I thought since I was a student that I was covered???? I signed up for my new insurance BSBC this morning....I something happens!

I got the most horrible news today....after doing the six month supervised diet, psch, sleep test, and dietician...I just found out Medical Mutual insurance cancelled exactly on my 23rd birthday which was Saturday April 30th. They sent for approval on the 27th so will that count??? The good thing is that I started a new job on Monday May 3rd and my Anthem insurance starts on day one. But will they approve my surgery for June 1st? What are my options....PLEASE HELP ME! I am in tears...i am soooo upset and disappointed that I did all of this for nothing!

OKAY EVERYONE!!!! ALL my info was sent yesterday to insurance for approval...Does anyone know how long they take???? I'm anxious and waiting!!!!:thumbup:

I AM SICK AND TIRED....Every time I talk to this doctor and that doctor its always a friggin hassle to get my notes sent to my surgeon. The 6 month diet notes, sleep study notes, notes from various other doctors! UGHH.....I used to live in a different state so I have no other choice but to keep calling! I've done so much to give up now! But im sooooo frustrated! :biggrin:

Im soo glad you posted this. I was having the same feeling once I set my surgery date for June 1st. And I went through the SAME hoops you did. The 6 month diet, sleep study, dietitian, shrink and all!!! But I really had to think about what would happen IF I DIDN'T do this. I keep thinking about my health deteriorating for the rest of my life. My life needs to change...I need to get healthy. And if you did all this work...so do you! WE CAN DO THIS....WE HAVE TO! FOR OURSELVES AND OUR FAMILIES!
