  1. I feel your pain, believe me I do. The same thing happened to me at a party 10 years, I was sitting on the front step of the house (my best friend's house), and directly on the other side of the fence some guys started mooing at me, there must have been about 5 of them. I was MORTIFIED, I haven't been so hurt in my life, literally, for some reason it shook me to the core. My friend made a big deal of it with me and said she'd tell them to leave, but really, who wants to put themselves in the spotlight AGAIN once they've been treated that way. I'm feeling nauseous just thinking about it, I'm so sorry you had to go through that. But like it's been said, those ****ers will get theirs in then end, and hey, they probably still live at home with their parents and have teensy weeny little....well you get the point.
  2. Wow, lots of great posts here...I have a couple more to add: I don't want to feel ashamed and embarassed when I pick up my kid from school because I'm the fattest mom there. I don't want to pass this disease along to my kids, I want to lose the fat and gain confidence, passing that along to my kids instead of self-hatred and loathing. I want my husband to see that I'm into "it" like he is (apparently he is, I don't see how he could be right now), I can't feel that way with all this fat. Three more words, which I know you've all talked about...CLOTHES CLOTHES CLOTHES. And shoes too :cake:
  3. LOL That was funny! Thanks for the smile!
  4. Thank you for this post, I'm not banded yet and have nothing to add, but it is so helpful to hear ALL the feelings bandsters have and share. It's something no doctor or nurse can provide pre-op.
  5. I tried Zetacap about a year ago, they didn't do a thing for me.
  6. Thanks Mandi, I hope you have a nice flight and GOOD LUCK THIS WEEK!!! Buffie
  7. Hiya, I'm hoping to be banded soon (in Toronto) and live in SK, does anyone know if there are any docs in western Canada who will carry out fills? Thanks, Buffie
  8. Hi everyone, it's so wonderful to see so many people going through the same experience I hope to be going through myself soon. This board is really helpful and informative, I'm still very confused and doubting myself and my decision to have the band, but with all this help I'm sure the choice will become clear. The choice being of course LapBand vs. RNY bypass. Thanks!
