  1. Hi guys..I actually havent had a lapband but was online searching " itchy red rash after surgery" and it linked me here to your website. I have read what you guys have written and it sounds exactly like what I have been experiencing since day three of my hernia repair surgery. I have had it break out twice now..the first time I went to the ER it was so bad and surprisingly they gave me a pepcid AC tablet. They said it was a histamine blocker and worked faster and better than benedryl. They sent me home taking 1 clariton (over the counter medicine) and two pepcid AC tabs(aolso over the counter) a day. Within a few minutes of taking the dose in the ER the I could see the bumps going away. I stopped taking it this past Tuesday( two weeks post op) and three days later I have it all over my thighs, stomach, chest, and arms again I have just restarted the clariton and pepcid. Hope maybe those meds will help someone I TOTALLY know how frustrating this is! Angel
