Same thing is happening with me.............after the first 13lbs that came off right away............i go down a pound then up two........then down three..........then up 1 then down 2...........i have managed to drop weight but it's frustrating!!!!!!

Hi Chentel I just got band so i don't know from experience, but when i went to see my Dr. he said i could loose about 100 lbs on the lap band. I also have about 100 to loose. It looks to me like a lot of people on here have needed to drop about 100 and have been successful. Good luck !!

Hey I am in the same boat as you. I eat for every reason but hunger :thumbup: I also work out of my home. I have decided if working from home is too hard then i will start to work outside the home for awhile. I also saw someone about my eating before surgery and got a name from the dietitian for a group in my area who works with eating issues should i need them after...............my hope is that i will have all my ducks lined up ahead of time in case i need them. Good Luck with your journey. I am getting my band in like 8 days !!!!!!!!

Wow......i have been asking myself that for years. I started to gain weight in my teens.....like 15ish. At about 12/13 when i started to develop (D cup in grade 7 ) my Dad started to call me fat and lazy. I wish i was that "FAT" now! I have a 26 inch waist!!!! This went on for my whole teenage life at home, only it turned into stupid and what ever else he could think of. Needless to say i moved out ASAP. I think most of my 20's i had low self esteem and weighed from 170 up to 180......once again i wish i was that "FAT" now. Over the years i think i did a lot of work on myself worth and the relationship with my father and both have improved.......not perfect but improved.......I think the eating to cope became a habit.

Hi Lsheley21 I get a migraine headache about three days after i cut sugar out of my diet......it lasts a day or two........two liquid Advil work for me or Maxsalt for migraines from the doctor......sucks.....hope you feel better soon.

Hi Littlefroggy I haven't been banded yet.....November 12th. But i have been on many a diet. I always get a raging head ache when i cut out sugar for a few days.... like a migraine headache......i take liquid Advil for it and most often it works. Looks like your are doing fabulously with your weight loss....how much time did you take off work after surgery? How was recovery for you??

Good for you......it's stories like yours that helped me decide to have lap band surgery.........I too hope to have the same success!!!!

I have also decided to keep my mouth shut until after i have had the surgery. I don't want other peoples input clouding my decision. My parents like to focus on all the things that could go wrong. I will however fess up once i start to loose weight. My wonderful husband is behind me always and right now is the only one who knows.

My surgery is on November 12th and i have to go pay for it in a few days. I started to second guess my self and think that maybe i shouldn't do it.................but after reading your posts i am feeling good again!!! I want to be a looser too! Did others get cold feet?
