  1. @SuziDavisI basically had the same problem before surgery. I would loose maybe 4-5 pounds a month. I was doing keto and basically working out 5-6 days a week. I know I shouldn’t worry so much about the scale but it’s hard.
  2. Hi everyone. I am 33 days post op and lost 16 pounds. I’m so frustrated bc I’m doing everything they told me to do and the scale is barely moving. I’m walking 1.5- 2 miles a day. I am literally weighing and tracking every single thing I eat. I am getting my protein 95% of the time. I am getting my water in. I know it’s about more than the scale, but I would be lying if I said it wasn’t depressing to see it move so little. This week I lost 1.6 lbs. last week it was 1.2. When I went back for my 2 week check even my surgeon looked surprised that I had only lost 7 pounds in the first two week. This has me feeling so defeated. ?????
  3. Thank you so much. I was thinking the same thing about the estrogen. I was surprised the surgeon didn’t have any insight as well. I even asked was this normal after surgery and he basically said I should discuss it with OB. I have the mirena iud. I didn’t have any issues prior to surgery. I’m just hoping for a week of no bleeding, just a week.
  4. I am so frustrated by this. I spoke with my surgeon and OB and no real answer as to the reason behind this. I’ve bled 22 of the last 30 days. All I can do is cry at this point. Either I’m bloated and camping or bleeding??? OB did. suggest I take estradiol for 14 days to try and help stop it. So far it has not helped. This just makes the process more stressful for sure. that combines with the fact that I am loosing so slow. All I want to do is curl up in a ball?
  5. I’m so frustrated??? I am one month post vsg and pretty much have been bleeding the entire month. I have an iud and didn’t have cycles prior to surgery. I went to see OBGYN and was given a 14 day supply of estradiol. It has not helped. This is just the worst. I have literally bled 22/30 days. I just don’t know what to do.
  6. Hi surgery twin. I am loosing weight so slow since surgery. My weight constantly fluctuates. I haven’t lost 20 since surgery so you are doing good. I also feel the food slide down sometimes. When this happens, I take smaller bites and chew more. I literally track everything. I’m going to try walking more also to see if that helps. I weight in weekly and It’s so defeating not to see the scale move.
  7. Thank you @LindsayTI am only 14 days post op. I bought the baricomplete vitamin and was taking one a day. I will make sure that she doesn’t think I have the chewable bari fusions.
  8. How often did you all take vitamins? I found Bariatric complete with iron on Amazon. I thought we take them once a day but my nutritionist just said 3.

  11. @summerseeker thank you so much for your response. I will follow up with gynecologist to make sure there isn’t something more going on.

I am now 14 days post op and I have been bleeding for 12 days. Prior to surgery I did not have a cycle just occasional spotting with mirena. Now every morning I wake up feeling bloated and cramping then it tapers off completely as day goes on. Has anyone else experienced this. I see a lot of post regarding period problems but nothing like this. I bleed every morning only. Also how are you all handling the cramps?
  15. Hi all. I had surgery July 13th. Some days I feel like my porch isn’t working. Day 12 post op was the first day that I was hungry but I have also been having menstrual bleeding since day 2 post op. I known I shouldn’t rely on the scale but this week I didn’t loose much of anything. I know everybody journey is different but I’ve seen where people loose 20 pounds and I’m no where near that. It’s a lil disheartening. I follow up with surgeon tomorrow. I am focusing on hitting close to my protein goal. Although getting the fluids in has been challenging. I am working at it. Any advice would be appreciated. pre surgery weight 262
