  1. :unsure:i'm more worried about the 2 week liqud diet than i am about the surgery. i've had to do 4 day liquid diet for another surgery and it was tough. i guess you just have to keep thinking about what you are aimming for.

  3. hi i'm new to the forum. i've been reading a lot of forums but have never posted. i haven't been banded yet. they have all of my paper work and have to review it and then i'll get an appointment with the doctor. i am choosing the band over the other surgeries because i have read a lot of forums and there seems to be a lot of complications with the other surgeries.
  4. Hi everyone  this is my first time posting. haven't had my lap band surgery yet. they are getting my paper work ready for the doctor to go over. getting real nervous. i have read a lot of forums about the hard time people are having trying to stay on the 2 week liquid diet before surgery. hope when i have to do it, i will be able to handle it.
  5. hey, patti cakes! This is my first time on this forum. I haven't had my lap band surgery yet, waiting for the doctor to go over my paper work. I'm will be going to Dr. Follwell at St. Alexius Hospital in Stl Louis. I checked and he is on the board of excellance. He always has another surgeon, Dr. Richardson, assisting him. I know someone personally who used him and she is doing great. He accepts Medicare and there is no waiting for insurance okay. Here is a number where you can call and get information: 1-800-245-1431 Good Luck
