I have my first fill on Saturday and I am very excited. Can someone please tell me what to expect and will i notice a difference in my band?

I had my surgery on Sept 5th. So far its been hard on this liquid diet. The only thing that keeps me going is the 20lbs I have lost. For the last 3 days i have not lost anymore weight. I am very frusterated and still have 9 days to go on liquids. Why have a completely stopped losing when I am hungry all the time? Has this happened to anyone else???:thumbup:

I am going on week number 4 since my surgery. I am now on solids. Everytime I eat, i get a horrible stomach ache and nausea- Is this normal and has this happened to anyone else?:thumbup:

Eating (drinking) right after surgery

I just came off of 21 days of liquids and it was hard. all i had was juice and water and broth- Popsicles saved me through the days- I will never want to do that again. I am now on solids and it feels great- wont get my first fill for 3 more weeks- hang in there- its very hard but you have to remember its not for the weight loss- its to heal the band- you dont want problems later. -
I have 1 egg for breakfast and half piece of toast- i am having tuna mainly for lunch and have been eating fish every night for the last 3 nights- not sure what is going on but will try some liquids maybe for a meal

Does anyone know if food can get stuck before I ever have my first fill?

That will be my biggest challange- eating slowing, I have never been a slow eater- i guess if you get food stuck enough and it hurts, one would learn real quick to eat slow!!

Thats funny, maybe you should keep some pinnapple juice at home also- lol

No my doctor says 2-3cc a time depending on my needs. I couldnt imagine doing 1cc at a time- that would end up costing a hell of alot if you are paying out of pocket- seems like you would have to visit him more often than normal -
Ok i guess that makes sense. I still have 8 days to go on liquids and I have been reading about all the food that gets stuck and as hungry as I am I am almost afraid to eat!!:biggrin:

Also, there is no trouble for me getting fills. I will be going to Fill Center USA. They are located all around the US and I will be going to the one in Roswell

Im from Cumming, Ga and had my surgery with Dr Ortiz in Mexico on Sept 5th- What a great DR!! I would recommend anyone to go there. That place is cleaner than any hospital I have visited here and the people are so nice!!:crying:

thanks guys!! I just keep saying if im on liquids how could i not continuosly lose weight- but your right, i should stop obsessing over the scale!!:frown::thumbup: -

I had mine on the 5th also, and you are right- this liquid diet is really taking a toll on me- hang in there- 2 more weeks to go!!! -
I did not have the surgery my Dr Marinez but I did have it by Dr Ortiz at the obcc- I had my surgery last Friday- have you had or are you having the surgery?

Thanks guys that makes me feel a much better- I just keep thinking that if I am going to be pregnant- i better be having a baby!!!! lol anyway im sure it will be fine- :rolleyes2: -
Hello all, I had my surgery last Friday. My stomach is very swollen and hard- feeling like I am pregnant. Has anyone experienced this after surgery? If so, how long did it last? I am very miserable!!:omg_smile:
