Hello PamRN,
My name is Jane and I live in Chesapeake, Va.
I am 54 years old, and am 5 foot 5, weigh 279 pounds. I have oseoarthritis, daily ankle and wrist pain, and am type two diabetic, on insulin at night, and Actos. I have continued to go up on the scale in the last three years, a year a go I weighed 241. I think the Actos and insulin has caused me to go up. I don't eat tons, i do get on the elliptical but my menopause also i thnk is a facor. I'm not wanting to do the bypass at all. i saw my sister suffer. dumping, puking, and now anorexic. i saw your profile and wanted some advice. I started my journey to do lap band last august of 2008. well, i finally have my surgery date of june 17th this summer. i will drink slim fast 5 times a day for two weeks prior to surgery. I'm willing to sacrifice to finally feel good again and get off 100 pounds. even if it takes a year or two. any helpful advice? thanks,
jane
