  2. Up and down, but mostly up. My hormones got the best of me the first week and I did a lot of crying and even some feeling sorry for myself. Now I'm just fighting exhaustion. I feel like if I can get my strength back I can conquer the world, but taking it day be day. I appreciate you asking! How are you doing so far?
  3. Hi, friend. I had bypass on the 11th and I'm definitely still struggling with some fatigue and light-headedness, although starting on soft foods has definitely helped. Are you meeting your protein goals? I don't think I would be close to mine without my one protein shake that I throw in some decaf iced coffee in the morning. Did they have you stop your Trulicity after surgery? That would definitely account for your numbers going up. I stalled weight loss wise for a few days too and then saw a big drop yesterday. I hope sincerely that your lightheadedness goes away and your energy comes back very soon. ❤️ Edit: "I stalled" not "installed"

  10. Thank you so much for the kind reply. "it WILL get better" is definitely going to be my mantra for a while.
  11. Thank you so much. This is honestly hugely helpful and gratefully received. I'm going to try to be gentler on myself.

  14. Thanks for replying, Carol. It really does help to know I'm not alone. I definitely agree that it's just old habits and not real hunger, but my husband came into my room where I was hiding away while the family had dinner with his freaking pizza (!!!!) and started eating right next to me and it took everything in me not to bawl. I'm just an emotional disaster today haha. The chugging was just so automatic that I didn't even realize I was doing it until it hurt. Probably need to not keep my water bottle on my nightstand anymore so that I'm more mindful. I hope your vomiting clears up quickly and you can keep things down. ❤️

  17. I had my bypass five days ago and today has been the first really hard day. I woke up this morning and on auto pilot chugged a bunch of ice water like I normally would. My belly instantly let me know I messed up. I've been bloated and in pain most of the day as a result and honestly...I just want some freaking food. I'm lusting over a scrambled egg, cottage cheese, anything other than shakes or strained soup with protein powder. I hate that I feel sorry for myself right now! Sorry for being such a downer, but I would really appreciate some encouraging words right now from someone who understands.
  18. Prayers going up for a safe procedure and quick healing. I'm in Colorado too and the weather really does suck today after all of that sun and warmth.
  19. You are going to do great!

  24. I had bypass on the 11th. I'm sore and bloated and have diarrhea (tmi sorry). At least I'm not hungry!
