  1. Could be the oils in the Mayo. Might be too heavy at this point.
  2. Mine took almost four months to the day. Met with surgeon for the first time on December 23 and just had my surgery April 20th
  3. Just had my Roux en Y yesterday. I’m in minimal pain. Been walking since yesterday a couple hrs after surgery. Just on water and will be released today. I also had a hernia repair.
  4. My surgery is tomorrow. I’m excited and a bit nervous. I got a chicken Protein Powder and mixed it with home made Bone Broth and omg that has really helped with the cravings. I do one strawberry or banana Protein Shake for Breakfast. For lunch I mix the chicken Protein powder with the broth. I don’t do much for dinner. But throughout the day I drink some of the Gatorade protein zero Water and also just Gatorade zero or Powerade zero. My pre-op diet was for two weeks and it was just liquids. My staring weight was 231 and I’m at 210 now and my surgery is tomorrow.
  5. I’m having full gastric bypass and mine is being done by a robot also but a surgeon is assisting. Mine is on 4/20
  6. I do have my dieticians number. I email her first and she always gets back to me in a couple hours. I am still preop. I’ve had anemic issues in the past. Mine have required infusions. Met up with hematologist, before my surgery which is in 4/20 , and he advised that if that were the case after surgery he would do patches first and then an infusion if needed.
  7. See a hematologist. They’re the best at solving iron deficiency. Mine said I could do the patch after surgery if needed. I’ve done infusions before too
  8. I have my surgery on 4/20. I suffer from anemia since I was a child. I’ve gotten infusions throughout my life so I see my hematologist at least 2x a year. Saw him two months ago to get an assessment of what if I get anemic after this surgery. He said patches. He would prescribe me patches for the low iron. Maybe that’s something you can look into
  9. There is some Gatorade Protein Water. I’m in the Preop diet phase. My surgery is 4/20 but I’ve been drinking these Gatorade Protein water and they’re awesome. My doctor said these were fine and they have 10grams of Protein in each bottle.
  10. I am so excited for you! Please let us know how it is going. Mine is on the 20th
  11. I’m on second week of liquids only. Pre liquid diet I lost 15lbs with some changes my dietician said would be beneficial. But am down a total of 21 lbs in two months. My surgery is April 20th. Excited and nervous at the same time
  12. That’s so awesome! Keep healing and I will keep praying for ya
  13. Thank you so much. I will definitely update. Praying everything goes well for you. Keep us updated too.
  14. I believe liquid diets pre-op are based on BMI. I was told it’s so doctor can see things easier while doing the surgery. Also to shrink the liver. Most obese people have a fatty liver and the liquid diet helps to shrink it.
  15. April 20th for me. I’m excited yet a bit nervous. Starting weight was 234 but I lost 14lbs since initially meeting with my surgeon in December. My goal is 135. I’m five foot four.
