  1. I'm 24 years old and live in the Tampa, FL area. I'm not married, but do have a 2 year old son, and work full-time as an insurance agent. My starting weight when I began my 6 month pre-op program was 309, I was banded on 9/11 at 287 lbs and am down to 283 today - I want to get down to 140. I don't know anyone that has had the surgery before and although there are monthly support group meetings at the hospital I had my surgery, many of the patients are older and I'm not relating to them very well. I'd just like to be able to talk to someone who's been through this before and is there to help me when I get down.
  2. I was banded on the 11th and I know feel the same way. I saw my doc yesterday and he said I can move up to full liquids for a week and then onto pureed foods. When I got home yesterday I had oatmeal and then went to the store and got some yogurt. I've had some today but I'm still hungry I have to wait until 10/21 for my first fill and I'm worried that it's not going to get any easier.
  3. I was banded on 9/11, haven't really had gas pains but have started to have the worse diarehea ever. I've only been allowed to have clear liquids and have to wait another week and a half before I can have like runny oatmeal and carnation instant breakfast - at week 5 I can start to have mushy food. I go to my doctor this afternoon and am going to ask if I can have more then just clear liuids because I've been feeling very week. I have to drink my protein shakes still, but have a hard time finishing them
  4. I'm getting banded on 9/11!! I'm on my two week pre-op liquid diet now ~ very excited!
