  1. I was banded 10-17-08 and have lost 45-50 lbs since then. I have hit a plateau and haven't lost anything, actually bouncing back and forth with 5 lbs, in approximately 5-6 months. So freaking frustrating! I'm not a perfect eater, but don't eat crap all the time like I used to. I also run 2 miles a day, 5 days a week. My body is taking a completely different look. I have people tell me everyday that I look like I've lost weight, which I haven't, but think it's just toning up. It's just so frustrating to think I eat so much better and exercise a lot compared to my "old" lifestyle and the scales aren't moving....but I won't give up! I will continue the fight. I have approximately 50 more lbs to go and I want to win this battle and not let it get the best of me.
  2. so I've been doing the c25k, and I'm on week 7 which is the 25 minute running segments.... I'm really struggling with it. I usually run on the treadmill @ about a 4.5 pace but tried the track yesterday....so hard!...so I'm headed back to the treadmill today. Any advice to anyone and also....what pace do yall run on the treadmill? Thanks!
  3. Thanks for all the comments! Couple of answers to the questions that were asked... I only cheat ever so often. Not all the time, but if there is something that I want, I will have a small bite. I know my weight loss has been good and on average. I just hoped to have lost more by now but will continue the fight! I will up my Protein and keep at it. I don't plan to give up b/c I've come toooooo far! I'm not a quitter, only a winner! Thanks again for all your responses!
  4. Short and to the point... I haven't lost any weight in about 3-4 months now. I was banded on 10-17-08, and have since lost about 45-50 lbs. I exercise 4-5 times a week, running. I don't eat bad, but do cheat every once in a while. My restriction is good. I'm at a loss and don't want to fail this thing. Any advice or suggestions?? Help me out. I honestly thought I would be near my goal weight, which would be another 40-50 lbs, by my anniversary, but obviously I'm not going to make it. I'm starting to stress out over this. I bounce between 198-204. If I could just see 197 on the scales I would be so excited! Anyone else felt this way?
  5. Get an unfill!! I made myself suffer for 2 months and never thought I would do that. I thought it would get better. I went in two days ago, had .4cc taken out and what a difference it is! I was at a stand still on losing weight for the last 3 weeks, and in 2 days, b/c I am eating again, I've lost 3 lbs! You should never be miserable during this journey!!
  6. I was banded in October. Have lost 30is lbs. I was always athletic and played soccer so I am just starting to run again. I need help!! Will you please email me your training sites that you read/use. My email is... lbess@glazers.com Thank You!
  7. Thanks for all the positive feedback... Believe it or not, my doctor never called.... but all seems to be fine.... By Saturday afternoon I felt fine. I've been able to eat and drink like "normal" so I guess I am in the clear. I will say..... I will not chew gum again. Mints are on my list for Sam's....
  8. This is my last reply to you... and I will try to be classy about it... unlike you. EVERYbodys pre-op and postop orders are different. I CAN have mashed potatoes and DID!! You don't know me, don't judge me. Mistakes happen.... unless you are perfect.... like yourself??? Can't imagine it by your posts. I am too old to be on here arguing like a fucking kid with you. It's no wonder that others totally diagree with you as well. I was told as a kid to think before you speak. Don't get me wrong.... I DO speak my mind and tell it how it is..... But then again, I am tactful about it. I can only hope that you have had a bad day or whatever.... With that said.... blueyedprincess is right.... Her words were well spoken although I would have added a few more!
  9. Thanks "blueyedprincess"..... words were well spoken! I really enjoy this board and get great info, but like most people, we make mistakes and learn from them. Feel good this morning and don't feel like anything is stuck. Hopefully it cruised on down.
  10. whoa.... okay... I asked for advice, didn't ask you to judge me. The negative people are putting a bad taste in my mouth.... this is supposed to be a supportive place and there are several that have been rude...... best of luck to you too.
  11. Thanks for the words of encouragement. I know I'm not going to "die" from it, but worried that something will happen to my precious band. Remember I'm only 1 week out as of today. Let's just say its a lesson well learned!!!
  12. Doctor still hasn't called. I don't hurt and I feel fine. I am praying that it will pass thru and all will be okay.... Hopefully it did since I feel okay...??
  13. I know, I know..... still waiting for the doctor to call me back. I've drank two bottles of water, ate a bowl of mashed potatoes, and I'm okay but think something may be there... or it might be in my head... I will NEVER chew gum again.... I am so worried and sick to my stomach.
  14. It's been one week today since I was banded. Chewed a gum ball b/c my mouth is dry and I feel and though my breath stinks!!! Guess what??? I swallowed it without thinking and I am scared to death.... I have no restriction yet so do you think it will pass???? What should I do? I am freaking out!!!
  15. I was banded Friday and feel sooo much better today. The gas pains were horrible in my back and shoulders... which has subsided now.... and it's 5 days out..... you can do it..... it will get better!!!
