Hi everyone! When did everyone have their first sip post surgery? I’m 7 months out now & on vacation. I want to have one cocktail but I’m kind of nervous since I have drank in forever and I don’t eat much.

Dry Skin / Skin Peeling Post-Op

Hi everyone! I’m about 6 months out from surgery and I’ve started to notice my skin getting super dry & peeling almost. It’s really only on my hips area and my lower stomach area. It’s not like your typical sunburn peeling but it’s definitely minimal peeling of some sort, caused by my skin being dry. I use cream & oil every night in those areas because I thought it was dehydration but it doesn’t seem to go away so I’m wondering if it’s a side effect of gastric? Has anyone else experienced this? Hi everyone! I’ve posted about this before but I just wanted to ask again as I’m further in on my post surgery hair loss journey. Does anyone have any tips for handling it? Also, how long did it last for you? I think I’ve been experiencing this for around a month now. I was also wondering if there anything I should avoid (ie, frequently washing my hair or frequently brushing it, etc.). Any tips or advice or what worked for you guys would be super helpful! Thank you!! -

Hi everybody! Thank you so much for all of the reply’s, it is SO incredibly helpful! Question for you all. I am getting ready to head out of town for summer & I’m concerned about the Hair loss. I’ll be in the ocean pretty much every day, meaning I’ll need to be washing my hair a lot more. Do you think this will worsen hair loss or cause more shedding? Should I maybe try to wash it less rather than every day like I would’ve before? Thanks again! -

Hi! Has anyone experienced bloating or gas pains after eating specific things? I’ve experienced this twice now & I’m not sure if it’s normal or something that I’m eating that I’m just not realizing is setting me off

Chewable flavors & Calcium Citrate

Hi everyone! I’m having trouble keeping down my calcium citrate chewable, every time I take one I am immediately hit with nausea. Does anyone have any suggestions for getting that down? My nurse had mentioned powders, pills, etc. What works for other people? Also, I am running out of my multi vitamin chewable. I was taking the lemon flavor which was okay. Does anyone have any flavor or flavors they particularly enjoy from the brand Bariatric advantage? Thank you!! -
Hi everyone! I’m having major problems with mass hair shedding. My doctor told me that’s normal around this time as I’m about 6 months post op. Has anyone been through this? If so, is there anything to be done? Like maybe supplements or hair care products for hair growth. Thanks!

Hard time keeping vitamin c + iron chewable’s down

Hi! I’m a little over a month post op and I’m having a hard time keeping the vitamin C + iron chewable’s down. I got them from Bariatric advantage & every time I take them I feel nauseated immediately. I then feel like I may have to throw up for a long time after. My surgeon had said to take these two hours separately from the multi vitamin chewable and I always do. I know these are crucial to the recovery process so any tips on how to take them would be very appreciated! -
Stomach discomfort & confusion post op

Hi everybody! I had my surgery December 14,2022 so I’m a little over a month out. Sometimes I’ll feel like this weird emptiness in my stomach, or something that mimics what it feels like when your hungry (isn’t painful but does cause discomfort). Does anyone know what that is or have they experienced the same? I sometimes get confused as to if my body’s hungry and should eat or if it’s digestion or another issue I should be focusing on.
