  1. No one has ever told me anything like that. I use my Magic Bullet for all of my shakes.
  2. Yes this! Did you tell them that you needed to come in for an adjustment or that you were too tight? I know many (I guess most) will MAKE time for you that day if you're too tight because its dangerous to stay that way.
  3. Ive always been a big water drinker so rarely would I have any soda. The only soda I care for is fountain coke. Ive had maybe a sip or 2 of canned soda since banding and its just not worth it anymore. Next time my husband has a fountaint Coke I may have a sip but Ive never been one to sit down with a can/glass of soda so I definitely dont do it now.
  4. Just looking at that makes my stomach hurt! Truthfully I thought it would have more calories.. though the amount listed is more than enough.
  5. Ive been told not to diet or count calories because it would seem as if the band was working for me when it really isnt. Just another thought.
  6. Before my first fill I gained back the weight i lost pre-op. Ive been gaining and losing the same 3-4lbs since surgery through all of my fills.
  7. I told everyone and now I wish I hadnt. Im usually very open about everything so as soon as I had my surgery date I told alot of my family and friends. I wish I hadnt because these last 6 months have been hard for me. I hadnt lost any weight before my last fill and all of the questions of my non weight loss made me feel horrible and like a failure. I found myself having to explain the band and how it works to everyone after their disappointing looks. I really didnt think it would take me this long to start losing. 5 fills and 8.8ccs later it looks like this might be it! As time went by and I had no weight loss I stopped telling people. Dealing with the looks and questions of people I had already told was enough.
  8. I didnt watch for a long time because I cant believe how cold Kate is but I do love those kids and think they so cute. As a mom I know that you have to take control if you want anything to get done but I always appreciate my husband and all he does for us. It just seems that Kate is always controlling and never appreciative but I dont know that for sure.
  9. This is very frustrating for me too. I too got 1cc at my last app for a total of 8.8cc. I always have good restriction for a few days due to swelling after a fill or BPing. I guess Im one of those people that swell a good bit. My Dr told me to do 2 days liquid and 2 days mushies after my last fill and this is the first time that I actually NEED to do that! Before by day 2-3 I felt ready for regular food. Im still on liquids today moving to mushies now because this fill feels different than all the others so Im hoping this is it! ETA: My Dr said my band is studied for 9cc but is overfilled frequently but has to be done under x-ray.
  10. Is there a support group tomorrow night? Where is it exactly? I dont want to show up at a random place on a random day because I thought I read it somewhere.
  11. Are they open to everyone or just for people who have had surgery with those Drs?
  12. I have a problem with swelling after a fill. I feel fine in the office but by the evening its usually pretty tight. It definitely takes me a couple of days to get to normal. Vomiting is the worst! I swell alot if for some reason I cant keep food down. Ive had 1 unfill because too soon after a fill (3cc) I had a bite of dry cake forgetting about the band for a second. It came right back up and I had horrible swelling, even water was extremely painful to drink. I called for an unfil and had 1cc removed, this made it so much easier while waiting for the swelling to go down.
  13. Sounds delicious! Cant wait to try it.
  14. Im similiar to you. I had 7.8cc in my 10cc band until today, Im at 8.8 now. I had very little restriction and could still eat about 2 cups of food. Hopefully todays fill will be the one! She pulled out all of my fluid to make sure I didnt have a leak and it was all there.
  15. I had the same exact thing happen to me. I was too tight. I called my Dr because Water hurt going down. I lost 6lbs in 3 days. I had 1cc removed and it was so much better. BTW, Im from Houma too. I dont really know anyone local thats had the surgery. I see a Dr in Metairie.
  16. This is my exact situation.
  17. Anyone else weigh in on Friday? I just found restriction so now Im going to track my weigh ins. Last Friday I was 278.6, I hope to lose 2lbs this week but one would make me happy at this point!
  18. I wanted a Magic Bullet forever and finally bought one when I was about to start my pre-op diet. I LOVE it and use it almost everyday.
  19. Bread has given me a lot of trouble since being banded. Until last week I was still trying to give it a chance but I had one bite of bread last week and it got stuck so Im giving up bread for now. Its just not worth it. I havent had any problem with pasta or rice.
  20. About 2 years ago I lost 50lbs and went from DD to a C cup... gained the 50lbs back and went back to a DD cup. I decided I was getting a boob job before I decided I was getting a lap-band.
  21. Its happening to all pages Im trying to view.
  22. I got .8cc today for a total of 7.8cc.
  23. My next fill is tomorrow.
  24. My first fill was 4cc in my realize band. My second was 3ccs.
