Stall
So I had a lower BMI of I think 32 after pre-op but after the first week I have not lost anything. I am still on pureed foods right now. I am getting so upset because I saw on this low BMI site all these stories of people not losing except like 15 pounds. The only thing is I am handicapped so I don't walk much except to get around house or go shopping. Could this be problem? I just pray I didn't go thru all of this for 15 pounds, which by the way I haven't even lost yet. I have lost 10 pounds since surgery. I have no problems following diet to a tee or anything like that. Please help me!

Weightloss month 1
Well I am two weeks out and not losing weight...actually gaining. I got dehydrated first week so that may be why I lost 10 pounds first week but now I am up 5 pounds and this week I start pureed today. What is wrong? Why am I not losing?

GERD
I am supposed to be getting the sleeve and my understanding is that you can have dumping syndrome with both the bypass and the sleeve.

How much did you lose the first month?

I keep reading through all the posts and regain is a significant issue which is understandable but is it preventable? Will my doctors help me for years post-op to help me?

exercise post op
I want to have a plan in place for exercise following my gastric sleeve. Who can give me some advice-place to go for structed routines etc. I am willing to get a gym membership but have never done it and live in a small town so its not like a big city gym where someone teaches you.

monthly weigh in and measurements
liveboard15 - it looks like your measurements haven't changed in 3 months but you lost 10 pounds so you could be gaining muscle too. Looks like even though the numbers don't scream huge loss you are still going. Good luck and congratulations on the loss so far.

Stalls
When people talk about stalls what exactly does that mean? Are stalls weeks, months, or what exactly.

Who is having gastric sleeve in Feb. 2023?
I am scheduled for February 24th insurance pending. Rdy4Change, I too am nervous. I have had many surgeries over the years, C-sections, gall bladder, ovary, breast reduction and about 5 others....anything they can take they probably have lol. I always have severe anxiety before hand like insane. The last surgery I found one person, my step daughter, who is such a goofball and always keeps me laughing and jokiñg around and having her present before surgery made it a completely different situation. I would say 80% less anxiety.

weightloss expectation
I am driving myself crazy with pre-op jitters but anyhow. I have a BMI of 35 and my doctor told me to expect to lose 55ish pounds from surgery. I read you lose 8 to 16 pounds first month so I am confused everywhere I read says it takes 18 months to reach that weight. How is that so if I lose 8 to 16 pounds a month? I don't know if weight loss is much slower than what I am reading because I have a lower bmi. Can anyone clarify?
