  1. Hello, My name is Mark and I am new to this forum. The reason I am here is because I am thinking of getting banded, as a matter of fact I have a scheduled date for surgery – May 3rd 06. I am going pay cash and am going to have the surgery here in the US. I am still thinking hard about this decision. I can still back out if I read enough to change my to change my mind. I am trying to find out all I can about peoples experiences with the band. I have questions about band “erosion”. What exactly is it? What causes erosion to the band? Why does it happen to some people and not others?<O:p</O:p If anyone can explain I would appreciate it. Thank you, Mark
