  1. Wow! Impressive. You have to update about how sore you are tomorrow! I love that sore.
  2. Thank you! I'll check this one out, too, since I have not bought one yet. I am getting a new fitbit for Christmas!
  3. I have had the feeling of wanting to cancel, too. But I've done so much up to this point, and I really do want to be on the other side of the procedure. So, I'm hanging in there and just taking things day by day, one foot in front of the other. Hugs. You've got this!
  4. Me, too. I was looking over the puree section of my program and got so excited about it. ?
  5. Will you have anyone traveling with you at all? I hope the flights aren't too tough on you while you are recovering. My surgery time is 8:30am and I have to be at the hospital at 6:30. I am grateful for the early time.
  6. I started wearing masks in public again a couple of weeks ago and I will be home from now until surgery date. Only grocery pickup, if I need to. I was contemplating getting another booster for my C-19 series but my doc said I should be good since it ran through my family a couple of months ago. My partner still has to go to work for a few days before my surgery, so that is a potential exposure. Glad my kids are out of school, though!
  7. I am having a sleeve done. And good luck to you, as well!
  8. Good morning, Cici. I have found that making soups, straining them, and adding the Isopure unflavored protein is saving me. Mostly I've done from scratch cream soups (last night was carrot) but I have done canned chicken noodle (strained) with protein, as well. I have tried almost all the sweet protein shakes available to me locally and don't like any of them. So, that is disappointing. If I water them down or add some almond milk, they are better. Two days until I switch to clear liquid only! I'm super nervous! I've never had surgery of any kind before so the unknown is freaking me out a little. I hope recovery is easy for all of us and we meet our goals! I will try my best to get on here and give you an update after my surgery but before yours! Do you have a time set, yet?
  9. How are you feeling, Voogs? Did you have your procedure on the 14th, afterall? Hope you are doing well!
  10. I'm in. lol I am trying not to struggle over here so I appreciate all these tips!
  11. Hope your december buddies are doing well in their recover! Thinking of you.
  12. Pretty jealous of your chicken. ? I had strained cream of broccoli soup tonight with unflavored protein powder added. It was delicious in comparison to the most sickeningly sweet protein shake I forced down for lunch. I am not going to be able to handle those shakes for very long, I'm afraid. I am much more of a savory person.
  13. This sounds amazing. A roast dinner is in my pureed future, for sure!
  14. Yay! I'll be thinking about you tomorrow!
  15. Has everyone bought a scale for weighing yourself post surgery? I haven't owned a scale in years. Do any of you have a scale you like (is there such thing)? Thanks!
  16. My son had a medical device implanted when he was little and ended up with a hard to heal surgical infection. I hope you kick it soon and that isn't too painful for you.
  17. This sounds interesting. How thick of a consistency is it?
  18. How frustrating. Fingers crossed you can get it done asap!
  19. My doc is hard nosed. My BMI is under 40. 1 week of full liquids starting tomorrow followed by 1 week of clear liquids. I'm sad. Cooked dinner tonight and told my husband that it was all broth for dinner from now on. lol
  20. My sister's birthday is the 22nd. Good luck on your surgery. Time is moving so fast now. What is your pre-op diet? Have you started it already?
  21. When do you start your liquid diet, if you start one? I am supposed to start on Monday, the 13th. I hate protein shakes and any sugar substitutes. So, that is the only thing I am really worried about. Going to the store to buy a bunch of soups to strain this weekend. I wish eggs and bacon were liquid. lol
  22. Me! I just got my date of Dec 27 today. I have kids, so I am kinda worried about being hangry with them the week before. I will miss all the yummy food, but I am ready to get this done. Good luck to us both.
  23. Just got my date: December 27 Now I'm nervous. lol
