  1. All the more reason to find a dressy dress and take a picture with you and the "More Mature" daughter. :faint: Think bonding.... Must go on cruise... must have another facial... ahhhhhhhhhh
  2. Yeah, just wait until after my psych evaluation results. :biggrin1:
  3. Now this is fun! I am wearing silky red high cut panties with a size 6xl ( I really wear a 3x) "sleeping in" t-shirt from the Big Dog store that says, "I'll be thin in my next life, Pass me the cookies" Hows that for denial on a shirt??
  4. Yoda --- HA! I like baby chicks, but I love chickens, marinated and baked!!! My Grandpa had a farm with chickens and cows and all. I had to feed the chickens a couple of times and the !#$!$^$# things would jump and peck me to get the food. So now I only like them on my plate.:heh:
  5. I know, meanwhile, my poor hubby has been suffering with chest pains and nausia for months now. (no heart issues, he has a nuclear imaging stress test that came up normal.) He has to go Monday for a scope. I hope they see what the issue is for him. He is miserable
  6. Well, I went to my PCP to get the last of my blood work and my sugery clearance from him and my Upper GI tests were back. Come to find out I have a Hiatal Hernia. :faint: I have never had any symptoms :grouphug: Aint that just enought to make a saint cuss? I looked up some threads and see that for most people, they get it fixed while they get the band put in. So, have any of you all had any problems with a hernia?
  7. I loooove me a cruise. My first cruise, I had a formal black dress, very nice. I have nice pictures of hubby(tux) and I. Second cruise.. I wore a "goin to church dress" Thrid cruise, I wore a khakies and a nice sweater set Fourth cruise, Well, they were just dam lucky I showed up to their "Fancy dinner party". I wore a nice shirt and shorts. :grouphug: Its all in what you want to wear. Your first cruise, Make it an adventure. Get a facial, get your nails done, Get a nice "formal" picture made. Kinda like prom, only more fun. Also, eat at the "main dining room" EVERY night. There is only one night that is "formal" (ie Captians Dinner) The rest are just, dress nicely dinners. I hated the buffet dinners that were not in the formal dinning room. Plus, all the REALLY nice stuff is in the formal dining room. And, the good thing is that the portions are small that they serve to you. No temptation to load up your plate
  8. Ok Melissa, you have to get the man to crumble and get carowinds tickets.. And the rest of ya'll too, the we can get together at carowinds. Melissa knows this.. my main goal to lose weight... to ride any and all rollercoasters!
  9. Have a Happy Birthday
  10. I should be there! I say should because I have tickets for my daughter and I to see Dora Pirate Adventure at the Blumenthal. They are at home and I have no clue what time it is going to be. Anyone else being drug to it by their kids? On a differnt note, I had my 165 question psych evaluation today. And oooh goodie I get to do the 567 question test on next Thursday. Tomorrow I have to go back to my PCP to get the rest of my bloodwork done and get copies of my Upper GI I had two weeks ago. I wonder if it proves what I always said that my stomach is the size of a basketball and not a football.
  11. Kim, I sent you a note about a bike
  12. Mine was: For my screen name: The Wavydaby Breakfast. My real name: The Incredible, Edible Jill. I nearly snarfed my Water everywhere. edited cause I cant spell
  13. It has to do with the way the body processes Vit B and a lot to do with the added colors to the vitamins. There are some metabolitic disorders that present with a dark colored urine. I remember that if you have "coca-cola" colored urine, you have a problem, but I cant remember what problem it is. Cloudy urine usually means you have some kind of sediment in there, be it bacterial or stone related.
  14. This whole thread inspired me: http://www.lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=16050
  15. I got there and you left.. sigh...
  16. Well, I have been known to cook dinner, clean house and or go work out then get on the computer for an hr or two. It's the way I choose to unwind. To say a message board is creating obesity is like saying people who play Role Playing games (think Dungeons and Dragons) worship the devil. Its called a red herring. Now, some people DO have issues with message boards, but I think they already have some kind of issue in their life and are using it to escape their reality. I get on the message boards I like, I read, I learn, I make friends, I laugh then turn the PC off.
  17. Bah, I'm not letting her off THAT for my excuse. Hubby is taking DD out of the house all day so I can work out, clean house, then SCRAPBOOK the rest of the day. Does anyone else share my scrapbooking addiction?
  18. Mexican and German food. How's that for a heck of a combination. My favorite German food are potato balls, Klaasa(I cant spell it) They are very gummy textured, so I know that after I get the band, that would be a major PB. Other than that...Ice cream. But I do like the Edy's fat free, no sugar added chocolate.
  19. Wow Melissa! It worked. I dont have to go to Roanoke this weekend! wooo hooo! What time and where exactly are we meeting???
  20. Oh poor thing. Whats going on with her bypass? I'll say a prayer. jtt... I have carowinds passes! I cant wait till I can ride the Borg coster.
  21. Holey Cow! You look Mah-velous!
  22. No one mentioned the Squirrel Nut Zippers. They are in the lines of Brian Setzer Orch. My favorite song is "In the afterlife". Does anyone remember "Hooked on Classics" from the early 80's? "Flight of the Bumblebee" is always fun to work out to.
  23. Im soo sorry. I was hoping that when the lady told you to call back later, that it was going to be good news. Maybe you can highlight anything about being depressed about the weight that and emphasize? Anything about affecting work habits/lifestyle?
  24. Drat, we are going out of town to see family the 22nd. Pool party sounds good! As long as everyone has sunglasses to sheild their eye from "never sees the sun" white skin.
  25. I am glad you are going to send a note. As a former call center customer service rep for a bank, I know what it means to bust your tail to help someone and not get any thanks. Yea, it was my job, but still, was nice when someone would call my manager and tell her what a good job I had done. Especially during the days that it was all MY fault that their check bounced cause they deposited money into the WRONG BANK ATM. You'd be surprised how much that happened.
