  1. I had my surgery on 11-11-08, I have lost 30 pounds. I have had 3 fills for a total of 4cc's in my 10cc band. I am starting to get a little frustrated by my own food choices. Best of luck to you.
  2. My doc has you do 24 hours liquid, than back to normal.
  3. MIRALAX works like a charm. Add it to something hot, and you'll never know you had it...till you go to the bathroom of course
  4. I'm going to my Dr tomorrow, and am going to ask him again why he is against using the cpap. It scares me how all doctors seem to have different thoughts on this. Who is right? I wish I could still use mine, I'd grown attached to it NOT!
  5. Like I said, every Dr is different. You would think all things would be the same. Look at all the different diets the dr's have people doing. It seems no 2 are alike.
  6. Check with your Dr. I was banded on 11-11-08, and was told NOT to use it because it fills your stomach up with air. Good luck!
  7. I was banded on 11-11, and have been taking immodium every other day. It is driving me nuts. Tomorrow, I get to have soft foods, hopefully it will stop.
  8. I live in Sunny South Florida, and was banded on 11-11-08. I am also sleeping with socks and extra blankets. Not sure why. I see you are still using your cpap machine. I was told by my Dr DO NOT use the cpap after surgery anymore because it fills the stomach up with gas. Just curious what your doc told you. They are all different. Good luck to you.
  9. I am 3 weeks out, and thank God I have all boys in my house, GAME ON
  10. Sounds like his pcp needs mental help. I agree with everyone else, find a new doc.
  11. I am a huge gulper too. I had my surgery on Tuesday 11-11-08. Today I was able to sip my way through 50 ounces of water. It took all day, and I'm so full. HA! Who would have thought I would be soooooo stuffed from water. I love it!
  12. Congrats! I was banded on Tuesday 11-11-08. I feel pretty good, but so full. I feel like I'm going to explode. I'm assuming this is normal. I've had 1 protein shake-100calories, and 50 oz of water. I am trying to have some broth with a laxative in it but having a hard time. Best of luck to you and everyone else.
  13. I just got banded on November 11th in Jupiter Fl. I'm doing great, a little sore, and very tired.
  14. Great post, I want to be able to take my wedding rings off and clean them properly, then put them back on with ease.
  15. I don't see why being bipolar would have any effect on getting a lap-band.
