Hi everyone, The educational class really scared me too. It also really excited me. I have read so much about the surgery nonoe of it was a suprise but like Fran said...it made it very real. I feel like I am self destrucitng leading up to this. My appetie is crazy. I am eating everything in sight. Does anyone ever feel like this surgery will work for everyone BUT them? Cappy: How are you doing on the liquids? I start Thursday and I am scared about that too. Lisa: I think meeting is a great idea. Evening works best for me and a diner is fine. We can still have tea or coffee. And yes....I am just focusing on the Versed!!....LOL Talk to everyone soon...

Hi everyone, Sorry..It has been crazy at work and I have been unable to get here and say hi. Yes I will be at the class on Tuesday. Does the meeting begin at 2pm? Is anyone bringing there family? Or is this just for us. I am also looking forward to meeting everyone. Its getting close!!!!

Good News,....Called Dr Geiss office today and I received insurance approval!! So my fears of being rejected after being so pumped for this ...is over!! Woo hoo!!

I cannot tell you good it is to connect to all of you. It is great to have people who are going through it the same thing in the ame week. Lisa You made me feel so much more relaxed with the insurance issue. i didnt realize that. I am really so excited I cant believe its gettings this close. I am a bit nervous at times but know I am doing the right thing, The other issue I struggle with is whether to tell anyone or not. Only my husband and my sister know. I have wrestled with which way to go....either tell everyone and whatever they say they say...who cares....versus.....why does any one need to know this is anything more than a successful one of my yoyo phases in the past. Cappy, OMG its good to hear I am not the only one who is eating like this and who also has...'family crap'. I did get the package from the office but it does say in there pending insurance approval. Ill keep you posted I may call the office on Tues.

Hi Does anyone feel they are eating their "last meals". This past week I feel like I want to eat everything in sight. I am trying to keep myself in check but everytime I see something I wonder iof I will be able to eat that after surgery. I actually gained 4 pounds and am trying to get back on track. Also does everyone have approval? I am awaiting Aetna approval.

Hello everyone, Does anyone have their insurance approval yet? I am just nervous and will be so disappointed if it falls through now. Especially since I was given the date already 11/13/2008 Dr Geiss. ALso does anyone feel like thay are eating something for "the last time". I have been overeating and gained a few pounds last week. I think I am back on track now and had to stop and to myself..'what are you doing?' I hope everyone is doing well.. Sue

Hi Everyone, I am certainly hoping to be an October bander. I have Aetna and have documentation from doc since April. I am hoping for a quick approval....as many I am sure are snickering! Have a 35 BMI with HTN. Im trying to be optimistic. Keeping my fingers crossed. I will know more on the 29th, Sue

:lol:Thanks both for the well wishes. I called aetna and they do cover. The 6 month physician supervision is required. I am not clear on what that entails because i have been under physician care for years. I think the office staff will help me figure out what exactly is needed. Candle...wow.congrats!
