  1. Thank you....I have been reading some of the comments on the forum, I have gotten inspiration from here. I am trying to stick to a low carb diet so that I can loose a little extra weight before surgery, but I continue to struggle. I never go over my original start weight but I can't seem to go lower than 142 and then go back up. It's so frustrating!
  2. My surgery is June 6 and I only have to liquid diet the day before
  3. Ya I understand that, for sure. I'm already on high protein and low carb and have been since November. So I guess that's why my doctor only requires 1 day. But I do plan on going liquid for the last 5 days before my date anyway.
  4. I've already kind of started with soft food only and liquids for breakfast and lunch. A d I definitely am getting in 64 ounces of water or more a day. I was already planning g on doing liquid for at least 1 week before my surgery date. So I think I'll be ok (hopefully). My main concern is that even though I'm walking and dieting, I'm still going up and down on my weight. 1 day I'll be at 244 the next day I'm back up to 250. It's just frustrating.
  5. I was concerned about my liquid diet...I called both my doctor and the surgery nurse and was told that I only have to prep for 1 day before my surgery. Not sure that that is enough time. Anybody else only have to prep for 24 hours?
  6. Just be honest with them...if they have a nasty opinion, that's on them not you. You are trying to better yourself and that's all you need to worry about.
  7. You can find more flavors on Amazon
  8. Hi! I have been on this journey for a minute too. I always wanted to have the sleeve because it's less invasive and supposed to be a little quicker recovery time.
  9. Yesss!!! Love those shakes....they taste just like a glass of milk
  10. I felt the same way...I started my journey back in Dec, 2019 (right b4 Covid). So I stayed over again in Sept, 2021. My surgery is now scheduled for June 6. I have been told that if you have the sleeve done initially, that if there is a weight gain later in life, that they MAY be able to perform a full gastric bypass at that time.
  11. Try Cold-Eeze I swear by it!! They are in the cold section at CVS near the cough drops
