  6. I have to thank you so much, apparently you were godsend and life saver. Because of you I went to the ER. When they did my gastric bypass, they found a Heidel hernia. When they corrected this item, it caused a pneumothorax and air trapped around my heart, all extremely life threatening. Also the swelling in my face, neck and chest is due to trapped air that they call rice crispies ?. Apparently this is extremely rare, but I want to make people aware this can happen. I'm currently in ICU with a chest tube, waiting to figure out what they are going to do with my heart.
  7. Has anyone had problems with the premier and fairlife shakes causing nausea? I can only stomach about 1 and a half per day.

  11. My specs are 5'3, 207 lbs which equates to a BMI of 36.7. Therefore going on a 4 week liquid diet will probably reduce my BMI ever more, just don't want to lose the ability to have the surgery.
  12. Thanks for the comments, I guess it's just his specific requirement. I know it will be hard but I'm seriously determined and will follow his specific guidelines. I was just curious if anyone had to do the 4 weeks.
  13. Surgery finally approved and scheduled for late Nov. Has anyone had to be on a pre-op liquid diet for 4 weeks, this is my doctors recommendation.

  17. I have just started my journey for bariatric surgery, but it's approved. I still have to go through the nutritionist, psychiatrist, etc. However I have told everyone and I don't care if they agree with my decision. I'm doing it for me and not anyone else. Very determined!
