  1. Before my surgery I did the same and tried to stock up on all things protein! Multiple flavors, premier protein water, gatorade protein, gatorade zero, vitamin water zero, you name it... But my taste buds changed so much during those first 2 weeks. My advice is buy a single bottle of protein shakes or zero sugar drinks and see how you tolerate it first before stocking up.
  2. HELP! I am 7 months post op and feeling stuck and defeated. Starting weight was 227 and I am now at 155 but I haven't lost any weight this past month. So far I've tolerated everything surprisingly well but some old habits are sneaking back. I've been snacking a lot more, mostly on popcorn, chips, sweets, etc. I've been eating more carbs ever since I noticed I can tolerate them well. I exercise (weights and cardio) about 3 times a week. Since I started exercising, I've noticed I have been eating more now. Has this happened to any of you? What has helped you refocus and get back on track?
  3. Hello! Seeking some help with hair loss. I know it was bound to happen but I’m losing chunks every day. I meet protein goals, take my vitamins. Anything that has helped with some of you?

  7. Ugh! Just broke my stall that lasted about 2-3 weeks! Hopefully you did too! As for snacks, my doc told me it’s perfectly normal to feel hungry more often so it’s okay to snack, just mindful snacking. Good luck!
  8. Hello all! I know everyone’s journey is different and we shouldn’t compare ourselves to others but I’m curious… I am 5 weeks post op. I am able to eat just about anything; chicken, fish, cheese, fruits, cooked vegetables, potato, sugar free yogurt all 3-4 ounces at a time or less. All with the okay from my doctor and nutritionist. I would have guess I should’ve been feeling more discomfort and more restrictions. Did this happen to anyone?
  9. Is it safe to take milk of magnesia and colace together?
  10. Me again! I am 23 days post-op. I lost 15 pounds the the first two weeks. I began my purée diet last week and since then I’ve stopped losing weight. I am dealing with horrible constipation and struggling to keep up with 64 oz of water. I’m worried that I haven’t lost any weight, in fact I gained 2 pounds. I’m starting to think this isn’t gonna work for me and I won’t lose any more weight. Has this happened to anyone?

  15. I didn’t have anything to drink before, it was breakfast. I had 2 tablespoons of scrambled eggs which took me about an hour to finish. I’m not on any medication and I had no issues with nausea before.

  17. Hi! I am now 9 days post op still on liquid diet and I’m struggling with a bit of dehydration and not getting my protein in. Any tips/suggestions on how to keep up and meet liquid and protein goal?
  18. Hi! I am 7 days post-op and I’ve been walking around at home. But I haven’t been having protein and I’m up to about 30oz liquids a day. I’ve noticed my left calf feels sore or bruised when I touch it. I’ve been wondering if it’s a blood clot possibility or lack of protein and dehydration. Has anyone experienced this?
